As 2022 comes to an end so does our time trading as L & G's Kitchen. After five amazing years we will be closing our doors on Friday 23 December 2022 for the final time and new owners will be taking over mid January 2023.
We have had an incredible ride and it has been an absolute pleasure serving all you wonderful customers. Over time you became more than customers and friendships were made - always ready for a good old yarn or gossip over the coffee machine. We solved so many first world problems!! We had the privilege of sharing in your birthdays, engagements, weddings and the arrival of all those beautiful babies!!!! So many special memories.
Covid certainly was a trying time for us all and as a small business we couldn't of gotten through it and out the other side without all your constant support. Thank you so so much!
To our staff - no words can describe how we feel. You have been our rocks and you are priceless.
We had visions of starting this journey many years ago with two other very special people to us. In memory of these two we can say now - we did! We like to think they are smiling down saying - yeah you did!
Thank you all again so much for supporting our dream, making it real and keeping it alive all these years.

Evening everyone. Just a heads up. Unfortunately we have had to reduce our menu as from tomorrow for a week. Gary has had a wee accident (not covid related) and by doctors orders has to take some leave. Please be patient with us as things may take a little longer than usual and you may not see your favourite items available just now. They will be back (and Gary) very soon.

Hope you are all doing ok out there and like us trying to figure out what the "traffic light" system really means???!!! We are so fortunate to have such lovely customers who support us and encourage us each and every day while we are in these levels. Today one of our regular customers has paid $100.00 to pay it forward to add a bit of joy to others. David Goldfinch we thank you for this kind offer and know the recipients will be very grateful. As we will be closed tomorrow - Labour Day - we will be paying this forward on Tuesday. Thank you once again David for this generous offer. With all the uncertainty and stress we are living with at the moment it was really refreshing to be given such a kind gesture from one of our customers to share some kindness to others.

Vodafone New Zealand has decided to pay it forward by giving their employees $100 to spend at their favorite small local business for us to pay it forward to our customers. Our customer Kate Hunter who works for them has chosen us to
