The Southern Roadie is almost here! 🚗💙
While most of you are heading off to work this morning, spare a thought for our incredible Roadie volunteers who are making their way from all corners of the country to Nelson.
For the next three days they'll be doing what they do best... Doin' Miles for Smiles. Visiting schools, lending a hand, sharing plenty of laughs and creating memories with kids across Motueka, Takaka and Collingwood.
Now... will everyone actually make it to the start line on time? 🤔
With this bunch? Highly unlikely.
But we wouldn't have them any other way. Safe travels everyone - we'll see you in Nelson!
🧚 What's with the Roadie fairy wings?
Every Roadie has its traditions, and this is one of our favourites. Throughout the event, the fairy wings are lovingly awarded to the volunteer who's had a bit of a "moment", whether that's taking a wrong turn, forgetting something important, or providing the day's biggest laugh. It's all part of the fun... and by the end of the Roadie, everyone's hoping they don't end up wearing them! I’m sure it won’t be long till we have this events first recipient! 😂
