A year ago today I closed my beloved Cafe due to a much needed Operation with 2 Surgery dates cancelled I finally had my Surgery last month on the 12th of June. Their is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you my customers but I realise I made the right decision to close the doors. I hope yous have all found another Coffee place to get your daily fix from I sincerely do miss you all after 18 years of owning the Cafe yous were all a big part of my daily life as well as the great Team members I had over the years. I have found comfort in the last year doing my Crafts so you might run into me at some of the fairs around Nelson. After this post I will put the Boulevard face book page to rest take care everybody and thanks for your support over the years 😪😪😪

I was hoping to put these photos up before I closed the Boulevard but ran out of time. I found them the other when I was sorting through some things. Oh how the Uniforms have changed over the years. I have been asked by the Historical Museum for some articles on the Boulevard over the 49 Years so please if you no any of these faces please let me know that it is okay to use them and if you want me to take down the picture in this post I am more than happy to do that. Could you please Share this post so it will get out for People to see I am very interested in the finding the people who had the 1st Wedding at the Boulevard. Miss my Cafe so much 😥

Wow can't believe it's been 3 Weeks since I closed my doors on my lovely Cafe it is so sad. There isn't a day that goes buy that I don't think about all my lovely Customers that I have served over the years and my wonderful team I miss our daily laughs. I hope yous have all found another Cafe for Coffee fix and yummy food. Mother nature has not been that good to us this week with all this bad weather. I hope everybody is safe and sound and warm.🥰

2nd to last Day and the Flowers and Chocolates are still coming it is so overwhelming can't Thank Yous all enough yous are definitely our extended family. So many of you have asked where you can go from here for your Coffees and Good old Kiwi Tucker and we don't no the answer to this
But to those of you who have our Coffee Cards you won't miss out on your Coffee Fix.
As the lovely Mishael from Ambrosia and her Team will honour them for the Month of August.

Wow what can I say. I have had an amazing 11 years working at the Boulevard cafe. To our loyal customers I'm going to miss you. Over the years you have become like family to me.
To Sandra and our great team over the years I thankyou all for making me want to get out of bed in the mornings.
We have had so much fun and the laughter some days also made me wet my pants lol.
I want to wish Sandra not only my boss but my friend all the best for your surgery and I can't wait for you to be pain free so we can enjoy the next journey of our lives together.
Boulevard cafe in the Village I will miss you dearly.

Another overwhelming Day with Flowers and Gifts can't Thank You all enough 3 more Days to go before this Richmond Icon closes it's door come in and treat yourself to our lovely food and of course the awesome Team. I am so pleased I found a New home for our Painting today made my day.

Wow since announcing our closure last week we have been overwhelmed by all the lovely posts.With only 5 days left of trading for the longest standing Cafe in the Richmond/Nelson not only have we served the local Community. We have also had so many of our Customers that come to us from out of town when they are visiting or Holidaying in Richmond/Nelson. 1 Family of 4 in particular come to Nelson every Xmas and would come in every day for their lunch. I can't thank our customers enough for their support over the last 18 years. On reflecting back it has really been a family business as well since opening in 2004. I have had both my Husband both Daughters Kelly/Ebony my Niece/ Nephew/Sister/my daughter's Mother Inlaw friends Children my Bestie Trudy all working for me over the last 18 years. It will be a sad day for us all on the 29th July. I would just like to say a big Thank You to everybody that has been part of this journey. I can honestly say I loved owning the Boulevard their has been challenges but with everyone of yous support I got through. Please come in and say goodbye and have 1 more laugh and chat with us over the next 5 days.

To Our Valued Customers
It is with much sadness and regret that I must advise you as our Loyal Customers that after 18 Years of owning the longest standing Cafe in Nelson/Richmond which would have been celebrating 50 years next October.
We have decided to close our doors on the 29th of July 2022.
This decision has not been made lightly it has been on the Market for over a year now with no prospective buyers during these Economic Times.

So we have decided to cut our loses and close the doors it will be a very sad day but for those of you that no me well I struggle ever day and it is my turn now to get the much needed Back Surgery I require.
Please be sure to come in over the next couple of weeks and say goodbye to the wonderful Team that have served you over the years.
