Fools of Desire is an exciting and vibrant licensed café in the heart of Rangiora operating with a focus on sourcing local and seasonal produce and using free range, fair trade, organic and ethical products!

• Solar panels on the roof, 100% LED lighting and have made provision to expand our solar panels as we can afford it. We challenge other local businesses to do the same!

• Passionate about supporting the Rangiora community. We design our menu around local and seasonal ingredients. We provide local free range chicken, eggs, bread, milk, venison, cheese, olive oil as well as a huge range of local vegetables, many organic and spray free. This is the heart and soul of our business!

• We have the first live beehive in a Canterbury café. It is a fully functioning beehive. Come and watch them buzz around their hive.

• We are aiming for zero waste

We would love to hear your feedback and we'd definitely love you to bring your friends! Thanks from Elisa and the team at Fools of Desire

New to the Fools team, meet Shannon!
You’ll find Shannon behind the coffee machine making a great brew, or out front looking after our customers. She’s already settling in beautifully and we’re so happy to have her as part of the team.
Make sure you say hi next time you’re in.

We had some very special guests pop into Fools of Desire today.
Minnie and Mickey stopped by to see what all the fuss was about and, of course, had to try some of the best coffee in town.
We absolutely loved having them visit and bringing a little extra magic into the café.
