Meet Gemma 👋

If you’ve spent any time at Mora, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Gemma — one of our absolute superstars.

The thing about Gemma? She can do it all.

Need a hand in the Cellar Door? She’s there.
Managing a shift? No problem.
Behind the bar? On it.
Running the floor? Effortlessly.

With over a year and a half at Mora, she’s become one of those team members who can jump into just about any role and make it look easy.

Her wine knowledge is seriously impressive, she’s a true professional, and she’s always willing to step up wherever needed. But beyond all that, she’s just a genuinely great human to have around.

And when she’s not looking after our guests? You’ll probably find her carving up the mountains over winter — she’s also an incredibly talented snowboarder 🏂

We’re lucky to have Gemma as part of the Mora family. Thanks for everything you do, Gemms — we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

Mora Albi 2025
Our unique white wine made entirely from Pinot Noir, with notes of almond croissant, rhubarb and wild strawberry. Rich in texture, yet beautifully fresh and elegant.

Mora Pinot Rosé 2024
An alpine-fresh, dry rosé showcasing purity and finesse, with aromas of wild strawberries and blackcurrant leaf, lifted by a delicate hint of fresh tarragon. The palate is crisp and textured, layered with vibrant red berries and a touch of citrus zest.

Mora Pinot Noir 2022
A classic example of Central Otago Pinot Noir, showcasing alluring blue and violet fruit, ripe plum, silky tannins, subtle oak and beautiful length.

One of the toughest things about owning a restaurant? Trying not to eat the food. 😅

For over 5 years I’ve barely looked past our signature Halloumi. To be fair, I did try taking it off the menu once… and let’s just say the customers staged a small revolt and firmly put me back in my place. 😂

So for years it’s been Halloumi, Halloumi, Halloumi.

But today I decided to branch out and order the Benedict… swapping the salmon for bacon.

And wow. HELLO. 👋

Where has this been all my life?!

Turns out even after all these years, Mora can still surprise me. Sorry Halloumi, you’ll always be my first love, but this Bacon Benedict is definitely giving you a run for your money…. Simple but delish ❤️🥓🍳
