Are you charismatic, comfortable on a microphone, and great at commanding a room? We are looking for an energetic and reliable Trivia Host (Quizmaster) to run our weekly trivia night.
This isn't just about reading questions off a page—it's about entertaining the crowd, managing the vibe, keeping the game moving, and turning first-time players into weekly regulars.
Job Title: Trivia Night Host / Quizmaster (Part-Time, Weekly)
Location: Lokal Kitchen & Bar in Fernhill, Queenstown
Hours: Approx. 2.5 hours per week every Wednesday night, 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Pay: $80 + a free meal and drink
What You’ll Do:
Command the Mic: Welcome teams, explain the rules, and read out quiz questions with clarity, energy, and a bit of wit.
Manage the Room: Keep the night running smoothly and on schedule (no long, boring drags between rounds).
What We’re Looking For:
The Vibe: Outgoing, engaging, and confident.
Thick Skin: A good sense of humor to handle friendly banter and the occasional overly competitive trivia player.
Reliability: This is a weekly event. We need someone dependable who will show up on time, every week, ready to bring the energy.
Set up: You'll be using our equipment - sound system, mic and laptop and pre made trivia package
