Goku Japanese Restaurant in Remuera, Auckland is looking for an experienced Japanese Hot Kitchen Chef to join our team.

We are a Japanese restaurant specialising in Kappō cuisine, Edomae Sushi, Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu, with a strong focus on quality ingredients and traditional Japanese cooking techniques.

We are looking for someone with experience in:

* Tempura
* Grilled dishes / Yakimono
* Agemono
* Nimono and Japanese sauces
* Japanese hot kitchen preparation and plating
* Working efficiently in a professional kitchen

Experience in Kaiseki or traditional Japanese cuisine would be highly valued.

Position: Full-time or part time
Location: Goku Remuera, Auckland
Pay: From $30/hour, depending on experience and ability
Hours: Approximately 40–45 hours per week

We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, works well with an international team, and genuinely wants to develop their Japanese culinary skills.
