Meet Noelia, our Head Chef.

Noelia has been with Popina since day one, helping shape the kitchen and creating the dishes you've come to know and love. Originally from Argentina, she moved to New Zealand in 2014 and has been working in the hospitality industry since then.

Her biggest passion is creating food that surprises people. She loves experimenting with different flavours, textures, and seasonal ingredients, and enjoys refreshing our menu every three months to keep things exciting for both our guests and herself! Alongside her love of savoury cooking, she's also passionate about baking and is always looking for new ways to create memorable desserts.

When she's not in the kitchen, Noelia is balancing life as a full-time chef and mum to a busy toddler. Her passion, dedication, and creativity shine through every dish that leaves the pass, and we're so lucky to have her leading our kitchen.

If you see Noelia around the restaurant, don't be shy, she loves hearing what our guests think of the food!
