Well my friends, after 7 and a half years of pouring coffee for the beautiful people of Porirua, the time has come to hang up my apron and turn off the grinder.
I’m sad to say that I am closing down The Platform Cafe at Porirua Train Station, but I’m excited to say that I have big plans to bring something bigger and better to Porirua in the future.
It has been so much fun baking and brewing for you all over the years, I have met so many special people that I’ve been lucky enough to connect with. You’ve all opened your hearts to me and supported me with my first business and I’ll be forever grateful.

I want to thank my girls that have worked behind the counter with me - your business is only as good as the people you have working with you - and I’ve had some beautiful wahine with me from the start, putting up with the cold early mornings and the days when the rain came in the front window, yelling over freight trains and through face masks, staying by my side and being close friends I can count on to this day.
Forever grateful for my gals.

Our last day will be Friday the 26th of May.

Hopefully I will be able to say thank you in person through the week, but for those of you I won’t see THANK YOU!!

We hope you’ve all been enjoying the Christmas/New year break.
We’re looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
We wanted to give you a heads up, we have increased our coffee prices.
We have always been really proud of our low prices, and this is our very first price increase since opening.
With the constant rise in costs in our supermarkets, and a price increase on our coffee beans, this is no longer avoidable.
We are so grateful for all of our amazing and loyal customers, and we appreciate you popping in to see us for your morning brew.
