Open by arrangement County Fayre is a community initiative to preserve valley history and support community projects. There is an extensive gallery of historic photographs and Roll of Honour, along with local artisan's ware available for sale and Devonshire Teas.

The Pohangina Downhill Walk – Celebrating 25 Years!

For the past 25 years, County Fayre has proudly held our annual fundraiser – the Pohangina Downhill Walk. This much-loved community event has become a highlight on the Pohangina calendar, bringing together locals, families, visitors and supporters for a fun day out while raising vital funds for County Fayre.

And this year is extra special – we’re celebrating 25 years 🎉

Join us on Saturday, 14 November 2026, as we mark this incredible milestone and continue a tradition that has supported County Fayre for a quarter of a century.

We recently held a fun, enjoyable and successful Coffee & Dessert evening where a table of delicious desserts were devoured and wonderful entertainment was provided by Shellie Hanley. A huge thank you to the following business for supporting County Fayre with raffle prizes: Ashhurst Mower Centre; Farmlands, Feilding; Gorge Quarter Store, Ashhurst; Hunting & Fishing, Palmerston North; Lenka Martinova Massage, Ashhurst; Manawatu RV Centre, Feilding; New World Supermarket, Feilding; The Gym, Ashhurst; The Hair Lab, Ashhurst; Totally Vets, Feilding; Urbaness, Ashhurst; Village Valley Automotive, Ashhurst; Pork Chop Hill, Palmerston North; Tuss's Tucker Tasty Thai Fusion, Palmerston North and Hair Flair, Ashhurst.
