Making one of my favourite desserts. Mazurek ♥️a flat cake topped with mango puree, dried fruit and toasted salty pistachios. So delicious! I make these gluten and dairy free.

Today we sent out a bunch of meals to our Neonatal unit. Thank you to Paul and Linda Lawrence for their generous donation. We made lemon/pepper chicken breast with a California mix, and pasta witha light butter, ginger and garlic sauce. 😋😋

We had a very unusual event in our restaurant last week. Forgive me for the long post.
Last Sunday we had a couple dining in a quiet corner. It was their last night out before welcoming a baby via c-section on Tuesday. During their meal a woman from a table at the other end of the restaurant finished her meal, walked down to the other couple in the corner, told the woman her perfume stunk and it gave her a headache and with that they left.
The woman was gobsmacked at the comment and her husband chased the other table to tell them off. Anyways, the couple was really upset and her being 9 months pregnant was very emotional. We felt terrible for them. They were so upset that they only ate a small portion of their meals and left.
This was a first and hopefully last situation of this kind. Something hugs and kind words couldn't fix. Btw there was nothing wrong at all with her perfume. It was barely noticeable and didn't smell repulsive. I'm not really sure what our other customer was on about. Just being mean I guess.
After the upset couple left Steve and I had a think. We called them to apologize again for their experience. Then, today we dropped off some meals as a care package. It's not as great as dining in but hopefully a bit of prepless meals as they have a new baby ❤️

Open Topor baby because we're back on NZ soil!!

We've had a great vacation visiting family and friends in Canada. We're well rested, relaxed and looking forward to getting back into the swing of things!

So this happened, Salted Caramel not only won a gold medal this year at the New Zealand Spirits Awards, but we took home the trophy for best overall in category!!! We are so happy!!! Thanks to everyone who believed in us and supported us. Your belief in us definitely inspires us to do our best!
