Meet Chef Andrea Cattalini…

Joining Aryeh as Head Chef, Andrea brings an impressive depth of experience from some of New Zealand’s leading kitchens.

Andrea brings an excellent training background, having worked across some of the best kitchens in Australia and Italy before moving to New Zealand nine years ago to join chef Ben Bayly at the Grove and working alongside him for the following 8 years.

He was formerly Executive Chef of Aosta, Little Aosta & Blue Door, Head Chef at Ahi, and has recently finished up his time as Head Chef at Tala where the team were awarded a Michelin Star.

Working alongside Executive Chef Lucas Parkinson, Andrea will play an important role in the continued evolution of Aryeh, bringing his experience, ideas and perspective to our cuisine while helping shape some fantastic changes to come.

We’re incredibly excited to see where this next chapter takes us.

We are excited to kick off spring with a test kitchen night, these will run on the first Friday of each month until summer when it switches back to Wednesdays.

Test kitchen is a fun interactive night where every guest has the chance to be a critic and tell us what they think of each new or refined dish, our service and the overall experience, and as always test kitchen is wildly popular!

Well, its that time of year, summer is done, winter is on the horizon and it’s time for us to take a well deserved break! We will be closing 1st June & reopening 10th July.

I’m super excited for our Shared Table dinner at Fair Food next week - Thursday May 21 - alongside hospo legend & friend Tony Stewart.

Events like these are what make this tough industry worthwhile, being humbled by the sheer force of community spirit, everyday people from all walks of life giving their time to help a cause that governments choose to ignore.

Knowing so many Kiwi kids go to school or bed without a warm meal on a winter’s day is something that hurts to hear, but knowing there’s people like the folks at Fair Food out here fighting the good fight gives me hope, and I am truly grateful to be allowed this opportunity to assist Fair Food in providing hard up kiwi families & children with delicious & nutritious meals.

We are one of the most food rich nations on earth and often described as a food basket to the world, but for many Kiwi kids that’s just not true, for what food is good if not shared by the nation that’s grows it?

There are only a few spaces left for this dinner - 100% of the ticket sales go to feed those in need. Dinner includes three canapés, a four course meal and non alcoholic beverage pairings.
