Eight years in, and we’re bringing back an old flame.

Some of you met us through ice cream. Some through cookies delivered to your door during lockdown. Some through our Ice Cream Cookie trailer or our old Blenheim store.

But you’ve all never let me forget the scookies. And honestly, fair enough.

As we head towards ONLY SCOOP’s 8th birthday, I’ve noticed a lot of new faces coming through the door!! Quite a few of you have told me you’ve followed us for years and finally made it to Picton, then there’s locals that didn’t even know we existed 🤯

I’ve also had some really lovely DMs from customers telling me about their visit and saying they’ve recommended us to friends. After eight years, it feels like word is getting around, and I’m grateful to everyone helping that happen.

I love making ice cream, the food industry and hospitality. I also love this town. Picton is a pretty special place, and I’ve always thought it deserved beautiful, well curated artisan products of its own.

Who said vegans had to behave?

Dark chocolate and boysenberry is our new vegan ice cream, and she’s looking very good in a cone (vegan). We’ll always have an ice cream and a sorbet on offer, unless you lot have scooped us out for the day.

And to the 23% of you in yesterday’s poll who can’t have dairy: we’re glad you told us.

Only fools rush in, we’re here for the slow infusion.

Before churning, we leave our ingredients to slowly infuse into the cream, giving them time to build a deeper, more natural flavour.

Carrot Cake starts with carrot, fruit and warming spices to steep. Then churned and loaded with homemade cake chunks and cream cheese icing.

For Croissant, we steep Minghettis croissants into the base, steep, strain it, then finish each batch with toasted flakes of goodness.

That’s the difference between adding flavour and actually making it.
