☕ Casual All-Round Café Workers Wanted!
OBC Café is looking for a couple of casual, friendly, reliable all-rounders to join our team! 💛
We’re after people with at least 1 year of café experience who enjoy working with people, take pride in what they do, and aren't afraid to muck in and get stuck in wherever needed.

What we’re looking for:
☕ At least 1 year’s café experience
😊 A warm, welcoming and friendly personality
💪 A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
🤝 Someone who works well as part of a team
🧹 Happy to pitch in with all aspects of café work — from serving customers to food prep, cleaning and keeping things running smoothly
⏰ Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment
❤️ Someone who genuinely enjoys creating a great experience for our customers

No two days are exactly the same so flexibility and a willingness to help out wherever needed are a must!
Shifts will be 2-3 hours and will include a Friday morning so please don't apply if these won't suit.

OBC Cafe in the Oratia Bowling Club is delighted to now be a part of the Chatty Café network.

MEETING TIME: WEDNESDAY 10AM - 11AM

The Chatty Café Scheme is for anyone who might be feeling a bit lonely or isolated, or simply fancies a chat. You might be living on your own, a mum with a new baby, grandparents looking after grandchildren, someone with a disability, or simply someone who would like some company for a few minutes.

Time flies when you're having fun and it blows my mind that we have ticked over 3 years.
I'm so grateful for all the support! Thank you to everyone who has baked, made, served and cleared, to everyone who ate, drank and laughed, and everyone who gave support, time and donations.

The change of season is on us and that means it's soup time! Currently we have delicious pumpkin and kumara (df, v). If you're feeling under the weather, our ginger, lemon and honey drink is bound to make you feel better!
We also have platters from lunchtime on Friday!

Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Pink Ribbon all day breakfast! We had some donations made directly to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation and our contribution will be approximately $900.
A massive thank you to Carolynne, Claire, Kurt, Dawn, Krystal and Jona (and Glenn from West Auckland Wood Turners) for their hard work and without whom this would not have been possible.
