Graze in the WILD 🌲🌲🌲
Recently I took a little break and went way down south to do the amazing Kepler Track with some of my favourite people, and I’m not lying to say that one of our collective highlights was the afternoon platters that we would throw together each night.
And while it didn’t look like much, as we had to carry everything including our sleeping and cooking equipment on our backs - we couldn’t even have a platter to put it on, it hit all the right notes.
Homemade chilli and cumin crackers for some spice, cheese and salami for a protein hit, some olives for a salty note, one beautifully sliced pear for some freshness, and a glass jar of beetroot chutney that was a real back country hut luxury.
Pair that with a little Central Otago Pinot Noir out of a can and a hip flask of very nice single malt whisky and you’ve got a party. Perfect for the endless card games that ensued.
We returned with full tummies, sore legs, and lots of memories. Get out there New Zealand! And when you get there, platter up!
