There are days you never forget and Friday was one of them.

Walking away from the New Zealand Spirits Awards with not one, but two trophies for our Straight Up Carrot Gin still feels a bit surreal.

To everyone who's bought a bottle, booked a tour, shared a post, ordered from a bar, told a mate about us or simply backed a little distillery in Ohakune... thank you. You are all part of this story.

We're pretty proud. A little bit overwhelmed. And very humbled.

The mountain might have called a day off today with Tūroa closed, but we're open.

OHAKUNE BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED
Sat 15 Aug - 12 noon
The precautionary boil water notice for the Ohakune water supply has been lifted.

Before using water normally please undertake the following steps to ensure you are using safe potable water.
1. Run all cold taps for five minutes before using the water.
2. Flush connected appliances, including coffee machines, water dispensers and ice makers.
3. Replace filter cartridges in taps and water containers.
4. If you have a hot water cylinder, run one hot tap until the water turns cold. This will drain the cylinder so it can refill with safe water.
5. Once the cylinder has drained, run all cold taps again for a few minutes.

The Water Tanker and two port-a-loos will remain available outside Council’s Ohakune office on Ayr St until Monday.
