Just a teeny reminder that there’s no Lemonwood breads tomorrow friends. This weekend I’ve resurrected my rusty nursing skills for a few days as Alans poorly.
However, in between delivering nourishing drinks laced with painkillers and other nursely things, I’m stitching French Pears for my stall in November at the
Oakura Makers Market.
I’ll have a few fabulously desirable gifty treats to surprise you with.
Breads will be back on next weekend when Alans recovered 🩵🩷❤️
(Of course I’ve made some fabulous sourdough Wholemeal and oat bread for our lunch tomorrow 💃)

No Lemonwood breads tomorrow peeps.
We’re at a workshop weekend of resounding African Rhythms.
Drumming, marimbas, n’goni, SINGING and dancing. We just join in the classes of our choice.
And did I say the food is terrific with plenty of delicious vegan options? Well it is. Lian is the chef and her husband Sidarth is the drumming teacher, with our own Julian and Laura on singing and marimbas. We’re having the best time 💃🪘

Spot the difference.
On the left is what I ordered from (supposedly) Wendy’s Waihi Beach boutique closing down sale.
Gauzy cotton/linen patchwork dress. No stretch, small size , only one left in stock. Be quick. I was quick - to part with my money.
After a few weeks of reassuring emails saying my purchase wasn’t far away (it was - in Hong Kong), the couriers were overworked and busy.
My parcel finally arrived. But it’s not quite as described as you can see. It’s a heavy sh*tty polyester knit fabric which has been printed with a photo of that (stolen image) dress, then cut out in a rough frock shape. Hideous!!
And no such place as Wendy’s boutique.
That’s the last item of clothing I buy like that.
Caveat Emptor -Let the Buyer Beware. (I learned that phrase at high school)

Just giving my pasta machine a nice workout with my Wholemeal sourdough. Layered with flavoursome soy ‘meat sauce’, mashed pumpkin, and spinach with garlic and kaffir lime leaves.
Vegan Lasagne. Sooo delicious.
And the same dough rolled out thinner also made fabbo lavash sourdough crackers!! I love cooking 🩵

In other words -
Time to harvest the beetroot before it goes stringy.
I had to leave a few amongst the freesias because they look too beautiful amongst the flowers to pull out. Sometimes simply being beautiful is enough - no need to eat all the Veges 🩷
