One tradition that has happily continued is our weekly trip to the local farmers market. It's become one of our favourite parts of the week—fresh vegetables, beautiful fruit, crusty bread and plenty of inspiration for meals (and occasionally a taco filling or two).

Austria turned up the heat this month 🥵
With temperatures climbing well into the 30s (and even touching 40°C in some places!), we’ve been making the most of summer in every way we can.

Our Friday farmers market ritual continued, colourful fruit and veggie meals became the norm, and we discovered that early morning ping-pong in the park might just be one of the best ways to start the day.

Between a workation in eastern Austria, family BBQs, dressing up at Austria’s biggest Western town (because how could we not?) and experimenting with new taco recipes, it’s been another month full of good food, good company and plenty of inspiration for Holy Guacamole.

We’re slowly soaking up every long summer evening before it’s time to head back to Taranaki.

A little postcard from Austria 🇦🇹 While Holy Guacamole is hibernating for winter, we’ve been soaking up an Austrian summer.

Market mornings, mountain huts, picnics in the park, bike rides through Graz and plenty of good food shared with friends.

It’s also been a month of rugby (Tom representing Austria against Serbia and Malta), surfing (Laura’s first time visiting the wave pool in Munich) and showing Kiwi friends a few of our favourite corners of Austria - from the city streets of Graz to the hills of Styria.

Along the way we’re collecting stories, flavours and inspiration for another summer of tacos, sunsets and good times in Taranaki.

Helloo 🌞 We know it’s been a little quiet over here lately… but we definitely haven’t forgotten you. Quite the opposite actually.

Over the last month we’ve been properly out of office - travelling through Australia and Bali, collecting inspiration, testing little Mexican spots, eating far too many tacos and slowly filling our camera rolls with moments we wanted to share with you 🌮

And first of all: a big HOLA to everyone who is new here! It’s honestly so nice seeing this community grow. We’re really grateful to have people following along — not only for the food truck days, but also for the adventures, flavours and ideas behind it all.
