Weather like today calls for something warm.

White W**e & Garlic Mussels served in a creamy sauce with grilled ciabatta. Simple, delicious and a solid choice for a wet New Plymouth Sunday.

We’re open for lunch and dinner - book a table and come in out of the rain.

What a bunch of legends! Each month, this great group picks a different restaurant somewhere around Taranaki, arranges a van and gets out to support local hospitality businesses.

We were thrilled to welcome them to The Good Home, where they enjoyed risotto, mussels, steaks, stone grills, fish and chips, and plenty more.

Thanks for choosing us!

A pretty special achievement for The Good Home New Plymouth!

We’ve been recognised with a 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award, placing us among the top 10% of restaurants worldwide based on reviews and ratings from our customers over the past 12 months.

A huge thank you to everyone who has visited, shared a meal or drink with us, and taken the time to leave a review. And of course, a big shout-out to our team who make The Good Home what it is every day.

Proud to be locally owned and operated right here in New Plymouth.
