PART-TIME CLEANER REQUIRED
KDJ Catering Ltd

We are looking for a reliable and experienced cleaner to join our team in New Plymouth.

This role involves cleaning a commercial office building in central New Plymouth.

HOURS

Thursday & Friday – Day Shifts
2 hours per day
Flexible start time, provided you start no later than 10.00am and finish by 2.00pm

Monday to Friday – Evening Shifts
2.5 hours per shift
Start time between 4.45pm and 6.00pm, times could be flexible

Total Weekly Hours: 14.5

Additional hours may be available from time to time to cover staff leave and absences. Evening shifts may increase to approximately 4.5 hours when covering for other team members.

About You;
✔ Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
✔ Able to work independently and manage your own workload
✔ Experience using a floor buffer/scrubber would be an advantage
✔ Reliable, honest and takes pride in your work
✔ Full driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
✔ Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing

This role would suit someone looking for regular part-time work with the opportunity for additional hours when available.

KDJ Catering Ltd is on the hunt for a motivated, experienced Head Chef to lead our busy catering kitchen team.

You’ll be producing for some of Taranaki’s biggest venues and events including:
• TSB Showplace
• TSB Stadium
• TSB Bowl of Brooklands
• New Plymouth Raceway
Plus a variety of offsite events and private functions.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality food.

The Role

Full-time position – minimum 40 hours per week
Flexible hours required, including evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Wage costing & rostering
• Menu costing, composition & ordering
• Leading and training kitchen staff
• Maintaining high food presentation standards
• Ensuring compliance with Food Safety & Food Control Plan
• Stock control & supplier coordination

KDJ Catering is on the hunt for a passionate Chef / Cook to join our small, dedicated kitchen team in the canteen at the Maui Production Site in the beautiful Opunake area.

This role is perfect for someone who loves an early start, enjoys working with a close-knit crew, and takes pride in delivering quality hot breakfasts and lunches. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day kitchen operations with the team, including menu preparation, cooking, and managing stock ordering.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
- Prepare and cook hot breakfasts and lunches to a high standard.
- Work alongside a small, supportive team.
- Manage stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always met.

New Plymouth Community Foodbank and Waitara Foodbank Pataka Kai work closely together to provide a much-needed service within our communities with this year tracking towards being our busiest year on record with more people reaching out for assistance.

Our annual Christmas food drives were a success in December however due to increasing demand for our services we need to top up the shelves and pay some bills. So, we are collaborating to raise funds by hosting a CHARITY AUCTION this June, with all proceeds to be utilised within our communities to support people who are experiencing food insecurity.

Donations of quality goods, experiences and services are needed to make this event a success.

CAFE BARISTA / ASSISTANT WANTED

KDJ Catering Ltd are looking for a responsible and motivated person, must be an experienced barista and have hospo experience, to work in the Aquatic Centre Cafe.
Part time availability minimum 20 hours per week between 8am and 6pm, immediate start.
RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced barista a must
- Previous hospitality experience
- Assist in preparation of meals
- Basic Food & Safety knowledge
- Able to work unsupervised
- Must work well in a team
