I am getting abut slack with my feedback on the weekend activities !!! Can't believe it is Tuesday already . All was fine down at the reserve over the weekend, the weather was much kinder than the previous do it was great to be back pouring shots! Thank you to jo for turning up to give me a hand on Saturday even though she was not feeling particularly well, Friday nights ah!! And karen Prescott who did a fine job serving the punters on Sunday. It was quieter this weekend so lots of opportunity to converse and there is always an interesting story to hear.

Keep Sunday 2nd April free from 12-4 o'clock as we having a party down at the reserve to raise funds for a defibrillator. Should be lots of fun with live band, bouncy castle sausage sizzle and obviously awesome coffee . See you next weekend have a great week.

A little bit of water was enough to distract from an espresso yesterday so Waking to rain again this morning is enough to tell me to leave my little cart at home and stay in bed!!

Long range forecast is good for next weekend so I will see you down there then. X

Thanks for your patience. I arrived at the reserve at 7 am and it was a gorgeous still morning and I thought how lucky I was to be in such an awesome spot but by the time I poured my first shot the wind had arrived and it turned out very unpleasant! Luckily I had some company with the sea scouts turning up to participate in the Big Beach clean up and so I spent the next hour making hot chocs for them. The day got better when jo showed up to give me a hand. Thanks jo I dragged the cart down to reserve on a windy Sunday turning it away from the wind feeling quite smart then spent the day jumping out of my skin when someone turned up for coffee as I couldn't see them haha
Great to see those that came for coffee and I through in a free blow wave, thank you

This Tuesday the Monaco community is having a meeting at the honest lawyer at 7 to see what we can do to raise funds for an AED so any ideas let me know!

I'm too tired too write anything tonight ! My friends took me out for dinner last night and I got home late and woke up early to open the cart and I have been to rehearsal for my friends 50th on Wednesday and now all I want to do is go to sleep!! Going out on a Saturday night and working 5 days then hobbie 2 does not work for an old chook I will post a blog tomorrow nite nitex

Wow! Fridays post backfired on me!! I invited everyone down to smell a dead whale thinking it was a bucket list moment but experienced the quietest weekend to date hahaha! Mental note to self only post happy nice smelly things on social media Catherine!!
Anyway it was still a lot of fun and I actually got to talk to some new faces .thanks to my daughter angela for helping on Saturday and to my gorgeous friend julie geddes who I roped in to work on Sunday as it is the only time I get to spend with my friends these days. Both angela and julie have a wonderful repoire with the public. Great to see Lyn and Ivan ,julie's folks who I swear are getting younger. I had lots of positive feed back on sublimes beautiful custom deluxe coffee so if u have some time next weekend come down and see me and Nyanne has promised fresh scones for the early birds on sat morning . Have a great week, be happy and the best way to do that is to be kind xx

Hi there , so if you have ever wanted to experience what a 9 week old rotting whale carcass smells like come down to the monaco reserve tomorrow midday and if you are lucky the sea breeze just may treat you with its grizzly aroma!!!!
Bonus is while you are there you can mask this experience (after you have had it) by treating yourself to a double shot sublime coffee with oaklands milk, this will certainly be your sweet and sour experience for the weekend!!

Good morning everyone just letting you know I won't be st the reserve this weekend as attending my gorgeous nieces wedding in Alexandra today.

Another weekend with just the right ingredients to make it awesome only trouble was I ran out of ingredients to keep producing the product!!
I roped in my friend Nyanne to help again this weekend, you are a hun and I'm sure the clients appreciate your cheerful banter.
Lots of old and new faces this weekend but very happy to see them all. Cheese rolls were a Huge hit with the smell whirling around the area so I didn't even need to advertise.

Nothing beats the smell of fresh coffee , it works like nectar to the bees, so if you feel like a shot of coffee nectar you know where to come.

6 weekends ago I sold my first coffee down at the Monaco reserve, it feels like only yesterday but I have loved every minute of it! I love seeing my regulars I love meeting new people I love the laughter and seeing the neighbours all conversing in this gorgeous location. I love seeing gorgeous faces I haven't seen for ages ( Ashleigh Cooke), I love seeing the dogs getting pushed in the prams because it's too hot by their considerate owners , I love the dogs reactions to our free treats prepared lovingly by Nyanne , I love the kids finding their treasure, the walkers and the bikers. Thank you to everyone who has been down to support me you all rock!! Cheers to my golden haired beauty daughter in law Rebekah Bennett and my old friend Nyanne for helping me out during the coffee climax of the day. I was in Wellington this week studying the coffee culture and my favourite quote was " don't be a depresso have an expresso"!!! See you next week x
