🍕 WE’RE HIRING! 🍝

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic and experienced person to join our food businesses, What?Gnocchi 🇮🇹 and Pizzamore 🍕in Nelson and Tasman region.

👉 This role is mainly focused on working as a pizza chef in our pizza van, operating independently and driving the van to different locations. Because of this, we are prioritising applicants with previous experience as a pizza chef.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility, and while pizza making and van operations will be the main focus, there will also be other tasks across our businesses when needed.

Your role will include:
🍕 Running the pizza van and preparing pizzas independently
🚐 Driving the van to different locations and events
🍝 Food preparation in our commercial kitchen when required
🧼 Cleaning and keeping work areas organised
🙋‍♀️ Serving customers and taking orders
🎪 Supporting at catering, festivals, events and markets
🤝 Helping the team with other tasks as needed

What we’re looking for:
✨ Previous experience as a pizza chef (essential / strongly preferred)
✨ Confident working independently in a pizza van
✨ Reliable, punctual and responsible
✨ Positive, friendly and customer-focused
✨ Able to stay calm and organised during busy service
✨ Hard-working and practical
✨ Good communication and teamwork skills
✨ Flexible and willing to support other areas of the business when needed
✨ Food safety knowledge/experience is an advantage

🚗 Must have a valid NZ driver’s licence
🇳🇿 Must have a valid work visa or legal right to work in New Zealand

📅 Minimum 30 hours per week
📍 Wednesday – Sunday
Starting date: from mid-September
🍕 Work will be across our different food businesses and locations, depending on where we need you.
🎄 Availability to work on public holidays is required, especially during the Christmas and New Year period.

Come grab your pizza at Tahunanui this evening! The Blessing of the Fleet fireworks night is this evening (postponed to today after a rainy Friday earlier in the month).

Fireworks are due to start between 6:30-6:45 pm 🎆 Come have dinner beforehand with us. Event starts at 5:30 pm.
