Hi Shane and Tania,
Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your support will be put towards tournament travel costs for our 1st XI Football and 1st XI Hockey teams, who will be representing Nelson College at the NZ Secondary Schools National Tournaments in the coming weeks.
Our 1st XI Football team is currently ranked 8th in New Zealand and will be travelling to Palmerston North for their tournament. Several of our Karenni and Colombian students are part of this squad, and your contribution will help make this valuable opportunity more accessible for them.
Our 1st XI Hockey team is currently ranked 6th in New Zealand and will be travelling to Dunedin. With travel costs of $1,725 per player, your support is greatly appreciated. The team includes two sets of brothers, making the financial commitment particularly significant for those families.
Thank you again for your generosity and investment in our students. Your support helps ensure these young men can compete at the highest level of secondary school sport while creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.
