Thank you Napier!
The very first season of the Marine Parade Night Market has been an incredible success. Over summer and autumn thousands of people came down to the waterfront to enjoy world street food, beachside vibes, music, family games, and time together with whānau and friends.
What started as an idea inspired by Nuit Blanche and Napier’s call to activate public spaces quickly became a special community gathering place. We’re so grateful to our amazing food vendors, supporters, volunteers, and everyone who came out fortnight after fortnight to support something new for Napier.
With the support and approval of Napier City Council, Public Dreams Trust would love to bring the market back next summer — possibly starting a little earlier in January 2027 while the evenings are warmer and finishing slightly earlier in autumn before the colder nights arrive.
We are currently looking at continuing the Saturday fortnight format.
Thank you again for helping us create a new seaside tradition for Napier. Cheers

🌧️ AUTUMN NIGHT MARKET UPDATE – EVENT CANCELLATION
We are cancelling the Marine Parade Night Market scheduled for Saturday 11 April (4pm–8.30pm) due to Cyclone Vaianu and its significant impact on the Hawke’s Bay region.

Weather forecasts are unanimous that Saturday will bring severe conditions, including: • 90–100% chance of rain
• 30–34mm rainfall, with periods of heavy rain
• Strong easterly to north easterly winds (44–47 km/h)
• Coastal exposure, bringing sea spray, rough surf, and unsafe conditions along Marine Parade

This is not just light showers — it is a high impact weather event, and the safety of our street food vendors, crews, community & visitors must come first.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected across Hawke’s Bay, and we thank you all for your understanding and continued support.

Our final Night Market of the season will be held on
Saturday 25 April | 4.30pm – 8.30pm

Autumn is when flavour turns up the heat - As the evenings cool, the Spice Trail comes alive on the beach — from India through the Middle East and beyond. Think warming Afghan kebabs, fragrant Indian curries, Lebanese street bites, Thai favourites, Korean comfort food, Malaysian, Filipino and Chinese classics, all best enjoyed when the air is crisp and the spices hit deeper. Autumn is made for slow wandering, hot food in your hands, salty sea air and that golden dusk glow over Marine Parade.

But it doesn’t stop there - Hāngi Māori kai, paua dumplings, tacos, ribs, burgers, fries, soft-serve ice cream, crepes, kettle corn, mini doughnuts, cheesecakes, desserts, dirty sodas, fresh fruit slushies and candyfloss mean there’s something for every craving — sweet, savoury and everything in between.
