We are excited to introduce ourselves under the new management team of The Union Pub! 🍻
We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome everyone into what we hope will become your favourite local. Whether you’re catching up with mates, bringing the family out for a meal, celebrating a special occasion, or just stopping by for a quiet drink, we want The Union Pub to be a place where everyone feels welcome.
Our team is passionate about creating a friendly, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere with great food, cold drinks, live entertainment, and plenty of community spirit. We’re looking forward to getting to know all the locals, meeting new faces, and building lasting relationships within our community.

Well... this is it.

Tomorrow will be our last day behind the bar before we hand the keys over to the new owners on Monday.

It's hard to put into words what these last seven years have meant to us. What started as a challenge—and maybe a slightly crazy idea—to take on the pub became so much more than just running a business.

We quickly learnt (and got told!) how things got done around here and realised it has always been about the people. The stories, the conversations, the laughs across the bar, and the way everyone looked out for one another. That's something we'll never forget.

You've celebrated milestones with us, supported us through the tough times of COVID and Cyclone Gabrielle, shared plenty of laughs over a drink, sung your hearts out at karaoke, backed our fundraisers, entered our crazy competitions, and even watched our own family grow with two little pub babies! We've watched friendships grow, welcomed new faces into the family, and sadly said goodbye to some wonderful people along the way.

To everyone who has supported us over the years—whether you came in every day, every Friday, or just every now and then—thank you. Thank you for choosing to spend your time with us, for backing us, for believing in us, and for making this little pub feel like one big family.

And a special thank you to Nige, who probably thought marrying Chaynee was enough of a commitment... little did he know he was also signing up as the Union's unofficial bar manager, handyman, maintenance crew, delivery driver, raffle man, and all-round fixer of absolutely everything. From helping to keep the place running behind the scenes to becoming the legendary face of Thursday night raffles, we couldn't have done it without ya!

Tomorrow isn't just the end of our chapter; it's the beginning of someone else's. We genuinely wish the new owners all the very best and hope you'll continue to support them and the pub that means so much to this community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the memories, the laughs, and for making the last seven years something we'll never forget. We know saying goodbye tomorrow won't be easy, but we'll be raising one last glass with the people who made it all worthwhile—so pop down and join us if you can.
