A LITTLE PATIENCE AND KINDNESS GO A LONG WAY ❤️🙏

To all our valued customers,

We would like to share a gentle reminder following an interaction this evening.

A customer placed an online takeaway order for 6:00 pm, and our system provided an estimated pickup time of 6:10 pm. Due to several large orders arriving around the same time, the order took a little longer than usual and was handed over at approximately 6:20 pm. We apologised and explained the delay, but unfortunately, there was still frustration because the food was not ready at exactly 6:00 pm.

We completely understand that everyone has a busy schedule and that getting your food on time matters. We do our very best to prepare every order as quickly as possible. However, We cook your food fresh when your order comes in — we don't simply reheat it in a microwave to meet an exact minute. Different dishes require different cooking times, and when several large orders arrive together, even our best efforts can sometimes mean a little extra waiting.

When you place an online order, please check the confirmation and estimated pickup time provided. If your order is confirmed for pickup at 6:10 pm, that is the time we aim to have it ready, rather than 6:00 pm. And on particularly busy evenings, an occasional short delay can happen despite our best efforts.

We are a small team working hard behind the scenes to serve everyone well. We are only human, and while we always welcome feedback and understand that delays can be frustrating, patience, understanding and respectful communication mean a great deal to us.

Interactions like these can be mentally draining, especially during an already busy service. We genuinely love what we do, and it is disappointing when a small delay turns an evening of hard work into a stressful experience for our team.

We will always do our best to serve you good food and provide the best possible service. All we ask in return is a little patience and kindness when things get busy. ❤️

We are looking for a friendly, reliable Front of House Team Member to join our team!

If you have a beautiful smile, a welcoming personality, and the right attitude, we'd love to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

* A positive, energetic front of house personality.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Great customer service skills.
* Previous experience in retail or hospitality is a bonus, but not essential.

Hours:

* 5–20 hours per week (depending on business volume).
* Mainly evening shifts.
* Weekend availability is essential.

Your role will include:

* Greeting customers with a smile.
* Taking dine-in and takeaway orders.
* Serving food and drinks.
* Taking payments.
* Packing takeaway and delivery orders.
* Helping with dishes and basic kitchen cleaning when required.

🌶️🍻 When a monthly catch-up becomes a Curry Club

Every month, a great bunch of locals get together at Indian Tadka Matamata for what they proudly call their Curry Club.

Yesterday was another one of their get-togethers — plenty of hot curries, starters, soup, naan, Kingfisher and, most importantly, plenty of good company and laughs around the table. 🔥🍛🍻

We love being part of these regular gatherings.
