🎩 A hat for Rothko — two years running.

Last Monday night, we were incredibly proud to see Rothko awarded 1 Hat at the 2026 Cuisine Good Food Awards.

To receive this recognition for the second year in a row means a lot to our entire team — from the kitchen and the floor to everyone behind the scenes who brings Rothko to life each week.

We’re proud of what we’re creating here in Matakana: food driven by fire, fermentation, creativity and the cultures and stories of our team.

A huge thank you to Cuisine for the recognition, and to everyone who has dined with us, supported us and been part of the journey.
