The visual soul of Buenos Aires 🇦🇷✨
If you’ve ever walked the streets of Argentina, you’ve seen Filete Porteño. This art started in the late 19th century painted on horse-drawn carts by Italian immigrants has turned into a legendary folk art.
With its vibrant colors, sweeping curves, stylized flowers, and intricate gothic lettering, it turns everyday shop signs and city buses (colectivos) into open-air museum pieces. It’s so unique that UNESCO even declared it Intangible Cultural Heritage!
Flowing lines, bold shadows, and pure Argentine identity. 🖌️🏙️
Our friend Hugo Pallotta aka "Filpo" is a master of Filete Porteño. He did a beautiful sign for us ❤️
We brought it from our last trip to Buenos Aires and
now we proudly display it in our food-truck. 🇦🇷💯
