thank you to everyone for your support to finally launch the MOUSTACHE DREAMS SCHOLARSHIP. Two months ago, this scholarship was also just a dream of mine. But NOW, with the help of the Mo community, a Dreams Scholarship now exists?! It fills me with great pride and hope. Hope that even us “little people” can do something and make a change. No, we can’t do everything, but we can do something.

For full transparency, this is where the money came from to fund the scholarship:

Tauranga Truck Run: $2001
Cambridge Truck Run: $394
Wynyard Quarter Truck Run: $590
Megapuff Charity Auction: $1325 (Thank you Steve)
Hamilton Truck Run: $801
Super Squiggle Charity Auction with Griffin's New Zealand: $1600 (thank you Joel & Tabitha)
Customers donating a cookie x 617: $2961.6 🙏
Deluxe Birthday Packs: $2550
B**r Cookies sold at Garage Project: $1000
Misc Donations (Ben + Matty): $540
De Top Up: $237.4
Grand total!!! = $14,000!

“Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” - Gandalf xD

THANK YOU MO COMMUNITY for helping keep the darkness at bay…I’m sure this scholarship will become a little beacon of light for someone ✨

Applications for the MOUSTACHE DREAMS SCHOLARSHIP are now open on our website moustache.co.nz from Sep 14th - Oct 26 2026 💛

THE RETURN OF CRÈME BRÛLÉE COOKIE CUP. IN ALL 3 STORES NOW FOR 6 DAYS ONLY (Tue 15th-Sun 20th Sep). Because we have received an overwhelming amount of requests for the OG to come back by itself, we are doing a short run for you.

The second complaint we got was that the Deluxe Birthday Pack run also was too short so we have some more packs for TODAY ONLY (Tue 15th). At all 3 locations also. These favourites packs have 1 x Crème Brûlée, 1 x Lemon Meringue & 1 x Double Cheesecake inside.

p.s to maintain that iconic CRACK we all know crème brûlée for, the bakers have had done a LOT of labour of love to do multiple layers of torching so that the top doesn’t go soft & soggy when you take it away (normally the torched top will naturally go soft if not eaten right away). Due to the multiple layers, we recommend using a spoon to hit the top to CRACK it and then eat! yum! 😋

grateful for the crew. Not just the 5 you see here but also the army of bakers it took to prepare for this very day. Because we want the baked goods to arrive as fresh as possible, we have 3 dedicated drivers to drive on rotation between the 2 trucks through the night from AKL to WLG so that we can arrive by morning so Hannah & I can start trading.

Grateful for the crew & grateful for you.

We hope you’re hungry, Wellington.
Cuz lowkey scared we baked too much 😂

we’re giving away FREE COOKIES on our birthday!! 🍪🎁 Simply bring in a can of pet food to any Moustache store THIS Sun 13 Sep - Mon 14 Sep & in exchange, we’ll gift you a free Moustache cookie! 💛 All collected pet food will then be donated to the Animal Food & Wellbeing Bank. Swipe right for full deets! ➡️

We used to do Cookie for a Can back when I first started Moustache & I had no spare money to give back. BUT I knew we could bake! So I started Cookie for a Can as a way of exchanging our baking for cans so that we could donate those to charity instead. Now that it’s our 14th Birthday soon, I wanted to bring Cookie for a Can BACK to pay respect to the 21-year-old version of me who first started it.

This time the charity I’ve chosen is a small, local one not far from our Henderson store - the Animal Food & Wellbeing Bank run by the lovely Carissa 🩵 I first met Carissa at a market where she was selling candles to raise money to buy pet food for people in the community struggling to feed their pets during these tough economic times. She said she helps a lot of elderly people who can no longer work & without help, would have to surrender their pets because they can no longer afford to feed them 🥺

Carissa’s been creating pet food parcels for people ever since COVID but shared that recently it’s been a struggle to get donations so she might have to close the service down despite so many people needing help 😔 Her story really spoke to me & I thought she was the perfect local charity for Cookie for a Can. I’d really love to shower her and her charity in hundreds of cans of pet food so that she can continue to do her amazing mahi & help hungry pets get fed!

It would mean the world to me if you would like to get involved. In times like these, it’s more important than ever to look out for one another & those in our community. PLUS, you get a free cookie out of it so it’s a win, win really 😏😜

You feed an animal, and we’ll feed you 🍪♥️

All my love, Deanna & the team at Moustache x

6 DAYS. 😭 8 weeks ago I said I wanted to create a $14,000 community scholarship. At the time, Sep 14th felt SO FAR away. And now it’s literally next Monday 😂

But somehow, because of our ridiculously generous community, we’ve raised $7160.60! 😱 That’s alotta truck runs, a charity auction & 427 donated cookies 🍪♥️

We’re officially more than halfway there !

We have $6839.4 to go in the next 6 days…which is slightly terrifying 😂 BUT
