Duty Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Duty Manager to join our team at The Church Bar & Restaurant, Manapouri.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue, providing excellent customer service, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with liquor licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervising daily restaurant and bar operations
* Delivering outstanding customer service
* Managing and supporting staff during shifts
* Handling cash and daily reconciliations
* Ensuring health, safety, and licensing compliance
* Assisting with stock control and ordering
* Opening and closing the venue

Requirements:

* Current New Zealand Duty Manager’s Certificate
* Previous hospitality management or supervisory experience
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work evenings, weekends
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic

A final note...I would like to thank everyone for their support, patronage, laughs and amazing good times over the last 6+ years. We wouldn't have made it without you all. The journey has been awesome but it is time to hand over the reins to some fresh and much younger blood. Purav and Krishna come with renewed energy and vigor and are looking forward to meeting everyone and setting in place their journey, which I'm sure you'll all enjoy as well. I'll be about for a few months yet... I'm not that easy to get rid of😁. Take care everyone, be safe and don't forget... all roads lead to The Church ⛪️🍻🍺🍾🥂

The Church Bar and Eatery in Manapouri is looking for parttime / casual staff 5hrs/day minimum...
1. Kitchen Hands - Dishes / Some food prep / basic kitchen knowledge would be preferred but not essential.
2. Bar and Wait staff...18yrs+ - Serving drinks & meals, barista made coffees (training provided), running meals, clearing tables.
