Our seaside cafe is located at Seaview Marina in Petone, a stunning waterfront location with views across Wellington Harbour and out to the Cook Strait.

Just a quick update from us, there was an unplanned water outage this afternoon in Seaview, this means we can't use the coffee machine or have access to running water. As such, we're closing a bit early today. Hopefully back to normal for tomorrow! 🙂🚰💧

In case you're not aware, this Sunday 20/9 is the Hutt Half Marathon which starts and ends at McEwan Park on Marine Parade. Port Rd is part of the circuit for the event so between the hours of 7am and 12pm there will be traffic management in place.

You'll still be able to park in the Compass carpark next to Burnsco and there will still be off street parking on most of Port Rd. Traffic management staff will be on hand if needed.

We'll be open as usual from 8am to 3pm so come and grab some coffees and treats from our awesome team! 🧋🍨🥧🫙🥪🫔

After a week of classic Wellington weather, the forecast is finally looking a little kinder for tomorrow! 🌤️

If you're out and about, we'd love to see you at Compass Coffee for the public holiday. We'll have the heaters on, and we have blankets if you're up to braving the elements outside!

☕ Open 8:00am–3:00pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
💙 No public holiday surcharge

Kia ora Compass community, unfortunately we have to close tomorrow for circumstances outside of our control. Which is a shame as it's been beautiful (and very busy) the last few days! But, as we all know, life can throw the odd spanner in the works, and you just have to roll with it. We will be back up and running on Thursday 25 June and hope to see you all then. Wow, it's been another great month here at Compass!

This gorgeous weather certainly helps, along with the long-awaited openings of Te Ara Tupua/Wellington to Petone and Tupua Horo Nuku/Eastern Bays bike paths. We were glad we invested in some more bike racks as they are definitely getting used!

We'll be open all long weekend, rain or shine, with the following hours and no public holiday surcharge as always:
Fri 29/5: 7am to 3pm
Sat 30/5: 8am to 3pm
Sun 31/5: 8am to 3pm
Mon 1/6: 8am to 3pm
Tue 2/6: back to normal hours

Big week (and weekend) at Compass Coffee 🧭☕

Last Wednesday we joined Too Good To Go as part of their Wellington launch, helping rescue good food from going to waste, one surprise bag at a time. We’re also actively looking at improving our waste and recycling options at the café, alongside these sustainability steps, more to come on that soon!

Last weekend we were honoured to cater the opening of Tupua Horo Nuku/Eastern Bays pathway. What a special community event and a such a privilege to support. Huge thanks to Hutt City Council for the opportunity.

And… we’ve added two new bike racks outside the café 🚲 so it’s even easier to stop in on your ride around the bays!

To top it all off, today was our busiest trading day ever. Honestly, we’re a bit blown away. Thank you for backing a small local business, every coffee, every catering order, every visit matters.
