We are excited to introduce our new venture by bringing the new brand "Spice and Flame" to the Maungaraki Lower Hutt community.
The "Spice and Flame" is newly designed and restructured of its classic taste and brand new products and flavours.
Spice and Flame bring Indian curries and New Zealand fast food taste together in one place. This fine dine-in restaurant provides a variety of food with drinks (alcohol)(we will soon start serving alcohol) and excellent service.🍻

We are looking for an Indian chef to join our team.

You must be hard-working, committed, and passionate about food. Our team is energetic, fun and we love to have a good time and we want someone who can fit into our family.

Expectations:
-Be flexible to work 6-7 days only dinner and weekends where required.
-Be reliable and works well under pressure

Experience and Qualifications:

-Minimum of 6 months experience in Indian kitchen as Chef or Cook.
-Able to work in tandoor as well as curry.
-Plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities
-Determine how food should be presented, garnished and create decorative food displays
-Menu and recipe preparation as per the requirements of the business
-Marinate, preserve and freeze goods
-Responsible for training and Managing of New Chef's and other kitchen hand staff in operations
-Responsible for preparation of Weekly Menu includes Chef's Specials and Party Menu's
-Handling customer complaints concerning food quality and/or taste
-Maintain Health & Safety as per Council Requirements
-Responsible to maintain a Hygienic Kitchen including Kitchener Items like Fridge, Chest Freezer, etc.
-Be responsible for quality control of all products
