The delicious food is all cooked on the premises, and the exceptional coffee is roasted to our exact specifications. The waffles are from our own special recipe, and all our sauces and toppings are handmade

The costs of printing have an impact on the final price.
Would you rather have a smaller book without waffle recipes and pay less, or a bigger glossy book with everything in it (apart from Eccles) and pay more? We aren’t talking about emptying your bank account 😂

There will be only a limited run printed so please mention if you’d like a copy.

There’s no easy way to write this, because Cafe Zest has never just been a business to us.

After many years at 71 Kerikeri Road, we’ve made the decision to pass Cafe Zest on to new owners. As part of this change, it will no longer continue as a café.

In that time, we’ve watched children take their first steps and then walk back in years later as adults. We’ve seen first dates turn into marriages, celebrations shared over coffee, and quiet moments held together in harder times. We’ve known your orders before you’ve even reached the counter. We’ve laughed with you, and sometimes cried with you too.

Cafe Zest has been woven into the rhythm of so many lives — including our own — and that makes this incredibly hard to say goodbye to.

Our final day open will be the 13th of May, and between now and then we would love to see as many of you as possible — to share a coffee, a memory, or just a moment together. We hope to put together a commemorative book with recipes and hope that you could share stories and photos to be included. Just send them through!

We’ll also have a memory book in-store, and we’d really love if you added to it. These years have meant everything to us, and it’s because of you.

While it’s the end of Cafe Zest as a café, we are truly pleased to be handing the space on to new owners, and we hope it continues to be a place that brings people together in new ways.

Would you like to join our team at Cafe Zest for what looks to be a wonderful year to come?

We are a busy cafe, so you'll need to be energetic and enthusiastic! That excitement and thrill of conquering a full-on day will be yours!

Experience preferred, but gap year students are always welcome!

If you are an experienced barista, we have a lovely big area for your art to thrive in.

CVs and references are required. Please send via messenger to this page or drop them in the cafe. You will then be contacted for interview times.
