We offer Crayfish meals, Garlic scallops, Paua fritters, Whitebait fritters, Crayfish fritters, Grilled Fish, Mussels, Salmon, Prawns & Seafood Chowder. Everything is served with either rice & salad or in a sandwich for under $10 excluding the Crayfish meals! Crayfish are priced according to their weight, they start from $45+ for a whole or you can chose a half of a crayfish for half the price - which is then served with rice, salad and garlic bread. We have cold drinks available, we do not have a liquor license. Being as we are located by the beach we do have seagulls lingering so we ask customers to clear their own plates!

🚨 FANTASTIC NEWS FOR KAIKŌURA - PLEASE SHARE

🟢 State Highway 1 south of Kaikōura is scheduled to reopen at midday on Wednesday, 15 July, NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi - Canterbury & West Coast announced on Monday afternoon.

The key Marlborough–Canterbury coastal connection has been closed since last week following severe flooding caused by significant rainfall.

“Subject to any further slips or safety concerns identified by experts, the section of SH1 between Cheviot and Kaikōura will be open to all traffic types,” NZTA said when announcing the planned reopening.

📍 Motorists should expect delays, with a single lane operating under a reduced speed limit and 24/7 stop/go traffic management in areas where floodwaters have washed away sections of the road.

NZTA says this traffic management is likely to remain in place for several weeks while the full width of the highway is reinstated.

🔴 Inland Route 70, also known as the Inland Kaikōura Road, remains closed.

A detour via SH7, SH65, SH6 and SH63 remains available.

Please note: Access to Kaikōura is currently via the north road only, as SH1 south remains closed.
