ABSOLUTE SCENES AT COCKLE BAY THIS MORNING.
The tide is retreating.
The water is dead flat.
The swans are cruising around completely unbothered.
The clouds are hanging overhead.
Cockle Bay Beach has apparently decided that being a beach isn’t enough anymore...
WE’RE A MOVIE SET NOW.
Yes.
There’s filming happening on the beach today, which means Coffee Reborn has been temporarily evicted from our usual patch of paradise.
Have we surrendered?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
We have simply migrated.
Coffee Reborn has relocated down the other end of the beach and the machine is ON.
The coffee is flowing.
The bay is beautiful.
Hollywood has arrived.
Somewhere amongst all this glorious Friday morning chaos...

THE GREAT COCKLE BAY AWAKENING HAS BEGUN!
At first light, it was cold.
Suspiciously cold.
Somewhere beneath several layers of blankets, the population whispered No.
But then...
THE SUN ARRIVED.
The sky began doing spectacular things
and from somewhere near the shores of Cockle Bay came the unmistakable sound of an espresso machine screaming:
WAKE UP, AUCKLAND.
Coffee Reborn is alive.
Beans are being sacrificed.
Milk is being steamed.
Caffeine levels are approaching dangerous levels of optimism.
So crawl from your caves.
Discard the dressing gown.
Tell the couch your relationship needs some space.
Come down to Cockle Bay, grab a coffee and witness what is shaping up to be an absolutely glorious day.
The beach has summoned you.
The coffee demands your presence.

Some mornings don’t arrive.
They slowly reveal themselves.
Cockle Bay is still half asleep.
The tide has slipped away into the distance.
The mudflats are holding the last reflections of the night.
The pōhutukawa stand dark and silent along the shore.
Then the horizon starts burning.
Orange, Pink, Gold.
For a few minutes, the whole bay looks like somebody has quietly set the edge of the world on fire.
This is the kind of morning that deserves more than staring at it through a kitchen window.
Throw something warm on.
Get out of the house.
Come down to Cockle Bay.
Coffee Reborn is here.
Hot coffee. Cool sea air. Mudflats, cockle shells and one hell of a view.

Good morning from Coffee Reborn.
While most of the world was still deciding whether to wake up, we were already down at Cockle Bay.
The machine came to life.
The first coffee poured.
slowly the morning began to unfold around us.
The beach is beautifully calm today. The wind is barely there, just enough to remind you that you’re standing beside the water.
For a little while, everything feels quiet.
No rushing.
No noise.
Just the beginning of another day and the smell of fresh coffee drifting through the morning air. From 7am to 8am, coffees are just $5.
So swing by.
Grab something warm, take a breath, look out across the bay and give yourself five minutes before the rest of the world comes looking for you.
The day can wait.
For now, there’s Cockle Bay.
There’s coffee.
There’s the morning.

COCKLE BAY HAS ABSOLUTELY LOST THE PLOT THIS MORNING.
The tide? GONE.
The wind? NON-EXISTENT.
The sun?
RISING LIKE IT HAS SOMETHING TO PROVE.
The birds are carrying on.
The bay is dead calm.
Coffee Reborn is fully operational.
Espresso is flowing.
Real fruit ice cream is ready.
Somewhere nearby, someone is still lying in bed scrolling their phone completely unaware that SUNDAY MORNING HAS BECOME MAGNIFICENT WITHOUT THEM.
Do not be that person.
Get down here.
Get caffeinated.
Get an ice cream ridiculously early if the spirit moves you.
Stand by the water and remember that life occasionally gets things spectacularly right.
The tide is out.
The sun is up.
The coffee is hot.
The ice cream is cold.

The clouds are breaking.
somewhere beyond the flats
the tide is turning.
Soon the water will begin its slow return
creeping back towards the shore
bringing a little more life with every ripple.
waiting for it all,
Coffee Reborn is fully set up
machine hot, coffee flowing,
ready for whatever this morning becomes.
Come down.
Watch the tide return.

The rain may visit Cockle Bay today,
softly stitching silver threads across the water,
whispering over the flats and scattered shells.
But there is beauty in a grey sky too. The bay slows down, the sea deepens in colour and every warm coffee feels a little more special.
So if the clouds find you today, follow the aroma drifting through the breeze. Step out between the showers, breathe in the salt air and let us place something warm in your hands.
The weather may be wet, but the welcome is always warm at Coffee Reborn.
