Hi everyone, I’d like to properly introduce myself. I’m Isla 👋☕️

I’ve been part of the Midpoint Cafe family for many years, so I’m sure many of our regulars have seen me around. I’m a barista, but I’m also someone who is very passionate about food. 😋

And let me tell you… cleaning a café properly is not as simple as it looks!

It takes time, effort, and, apparently, knowing which products and tools actually work. 😅

I’m definitely someone who has high standards. I want Midpoint to feel clean, welcoming, organised, and comfortable every time you walk through the door. I want every guest to have a great experience here.

I know how to make you a good cup of coffee… ☕️
But when it comes to professional cleaning, I’m still learning! 😂

So I’m asking our wonderful community for some help:
What cleaning products, tools, or techniques do you swear by for a café or hospitality space?

If you have a favourite product, a secret cleaning trick, or just some advice from your own experience, please share it with me in the comments! 🧼✨

I’d genuinely love to learn from you.

And while you’re here… come say hi next time you’re at Midpoint. ❤️

— Isla ☕️

Hobsonville, we heard you loud and clear! ✨

When we introduced our Early Bird favourites, we never anticipated just how much love you’d show them. Whether you’re dropping by on the school run, grabbing a morning coffee, or catching up with neighbours, so many of you made these dishes part of your daily ritual.

Because of your incredible support, we have some huge news: our most popular early morning favourites are officially joining our permanent All Day Menu!

No more racing the clock before 10:00 AM—you can now order your go-to comfort plates whenever your craving hits, from open till close.

We’re also giving one of our absolute crowd favourites a major glow-up:

The Lumberjack Waffles (The New & Upgraded Chicken & Waffles!): We’ve taken our classic chicken and waffles and given it a massive upgrade—more protein, bigger flavours, and zero price increase at $29.80. Think succulent buttermilk fried chicken thigh, crispy streaky bacon, a sunny egg, sriracha chilli mayo, onion rings, coleslaw, maple syrup, and shaved parmesan.

Alongside that, check out what else is fresh from the kitchen:

Daybreak Sando: Silken folded eggs, streaky bacon, golden hash patty, smoked cheese, crispy kale, and balsamic glaze on a toasted crumpet.

Crispy Golden Potato Stack: Gourmet potatoes with a poached egg, charred broccolini, labneh, dill hollandaise, dukkah, and your choice of bacon, mushrooms, or halloumi.

Biscoff Loaded Crepes: Warm crepes filled with rich mascarpone, crushed Lotus Biscoff crumb and drizzle, vanilla ice cream, and caramelized seasonal fruit.

We love being your local gathering spot in the heart of Hobsonville. Pop in this week, pull up a seat, and let us cook you your new favourite brunch! ☕🥞
