Mānawatia a Matariki everyone ❤️

We are open today with no surcharge and the fire is nice and toasty!

Open all weekend long and we will of course be playing the rugby live at 5.05pm tomorrow - go the All Blacks!!!

Ok team, we are just going to rip the bandaid off …

This is a pretty special hug.

Our Maddie has been given the most exciting opportunity to move to Malaysia … next week.

Come in and ask her all about it!

So, another date to save, this Sunday at 4pm we will be raising a glass in farewell to our girl Maddie ❤️

Tomorrow (Thursday) night we have Paul Coker and friends playing live music from 6.30pm, it’s going to be awesome!

Friday is the Matariki public holiday and we will be open as usual with no surcharge.

Saturday we have the All Blacks game on live at 5.10pm.

And then Sunday we wish Maddie well on her wonderful adventure!

Ok one more day of opening at 2pm sorry team! I’m doing what the dr says and staying home!

Do any kind neighbours have mint or rosemary that you might be able to donate to the bar please? Thank you in advance!

Tomorrow night is the first All Blacks game of the season!! 7.10pm Saturday, live at the bar. Might pay to book a table if you’d like to come in.

James and I want to say a huge thank you to our team and our honorary team (ie friends who’ve stepped in to help) for looking after the bar while I’m off - we really couldn’t do it without you! Please be extra kind to them ❤️

Also, anyone doing Dry July gets half price soft drinks at Marion’s - proud of your efforts guys!

New merch for Winter team! Long sleeved Marion’s tees, how good for the colder weather! Old mate reckons I owe him one, what do you guys think?

Chicken & Leek Pie went so well yesterday that we’ve made more.

For all of those asking, Maddie is ok, a bit sore but ok. She says thanks for the love ❤️

As a result, during the day today it’s last weeks “A Team” of James, Annabelle and I. Please be patient with us 😂

Dates for live music and karaoke will be coming out next week - we have an epic line up for July and early August, you won’t want to miss out!

On a miserable cold day like today I like to remember how lovely it can be when the sun is shining and I get to walk to work!

We have the fire roaring today, and it is SO cosy at Marion’s.

On Wednesday we got the wonderful treat of Gus and Lujaine bringing their guitars in and playing for us - thank you so much Gedly Gedly for bringing that talent! Please remember, we always welcome you to bring along an instrument - music wins at Marion’s!

Tonight we have our new initiative - you be the DJ from 7pm, line it up and we will play it.

There are several gigs on the horizon for July, watch this space for details.

He earned it last night didn’t he!!! Best barmaid in town I reckon ❤️ We are all bloody lucky to have this guy, the bar kept going cos he got stuck in. I for one am super grateful.

And for you guys, last nights support was, as always, next level. And with James on the Bar and me behind the Pizza Oven with the help of legends Annabelle and Ava it made it even better. Thank you for your patience!

And … the Hurricanes are the Super Rugby champions!!! How good is that!
