🌺 A HEART FULL OF GRATITUDE – MY KaiVT AUTHENTIC FIJIAN CUISINE JOURNEY🌺
Bula Vinaka everyone! 🇫🇯❤️
Today I’m sharing something very close to my heart. Along with this post, I’ll be sharing photos from different stages of my business journey from where KaiVT Authentic Fijian Cuisine started, the workshops I attended, the people who supported me, the opportunities I was given, the equipment I was able to invest in, and how much my business has grown along the way. 📸❤️
These photos are not just photos to me. Every photo holds a memory, a lesson, a challenge, an achievement and a part of my journey. When I look back at them, I realise how far I have come and how many people God has placed in my path to help me along the way.
First and foremost, all glory and honour goes to God.🙏🏽❤️
Looking back at my journey, I can truly see that God's timing has been perfect. Some doors opened when I least expected them, and every opportunity has encouraged me to work harder and believe even more in the vision I have for my business.
A very special VINAKA VAKALEVU to my Waikato Business Network Navigator, Teuila Maggof.❤️Waikato Pacific Business Network
Teuila, thank you for your unwavering support, dedication, encouragement and belief in me. You have truly been one of the backbones of my business journey. You continue to advise me, guide me and help me look for opportunities and support that can move my business forward.
What I appreciate so much about Waikato Business Network is the way they see the potential and passion within our Pasifika families and Pasifika business owner. They don't just encourage us to start a business — they guide us towards becoming fully compliant, building strong foundations and connecting us with opportunities that can help our businesses grow.
One opportunity I will never forget happened in November 2024, during the early stages of my journey with Waikato Business Network.
I was blessed with the opportunity for KaiVT Authentic Fijian Cuisine to be part of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Awards Night Dinner.🥹❤️
There were many other businesses that could have been chosen, so I will always be grateful that KaiVT was given that opportunity.
I thank God for allowing my business to be part of it.🙏🏽
That experience inspired me so much. Seeing where a business could go and being part of such an amazing event made me want to work even harder, dream bigger and continue growing KaiVT.
Around that same time in November 2024, I attended free business workshops provided through Waikato Business Network. It was through these workshops that I met the beautiful and humble Nanise Ginnen, Founder of Starline.
I still remember attending Nanise's workshop three times! 😊 I knew I wanted to work with her, but it didn't happen immediately. Looking back now, I understand that God had His own timing.🙏🏽
This year, that door finally opened.
Through the support and connections provided by Waikato Business Network, I had the opportunity to work closely with Nanise Owner of Starline.
Nanise, Vinaka Vakalevu for your kindness, patience, professionalism and support. ❤️ I love the way you helped me every step of the way and made me feel comfortable enough to be open with you and trust you with helping me strengthen and develop my business.
With Nanise's support, I worked on my Regional Funding Category 1 application, and I was blessed to successfully receive funding towards equipment for my business.
I also want to give a very special THANK YOU to Generator for the funding towards my business equipment.🙏🏽❤️The Generator
That funding has made a real difference to KaiVT Authentic Fijian Cuisine. It enabled me to invest in much-needed equipment for my business, improve the way I prepare and store my food, become more efficient, cater for more people and continue building my business professionally.
For a small business, receiving support towards equipment is not something I take for granted. Every piece of equipment I have been able to invest in is helping me build capacity and prepare KaiVT for bigger opportunities in the future.
Vinaka Vakalevu, Generator, for believing in and investing in small businesses like mine.❤️
I am also incredibly grateful to Pasifika Business Trust for supporting my business development. Through their funding, I was able to work with Nanise again on my Business Plan in July 2026,without having to pay a cent for the professional support I received.
When I look through all the photos I am sharing with this post, I can see how everything has connected:
One workshop led to another opportunity.
One connection led to another connection.
One piece of advice helped me make a better decision.
Funding allowed me to invest in my equipment.
My business plan gave me direction.
And every opportunity gave me another reason to work harder.❤️
From cooking and selling my food, attending workshops and learning about business, to receiving funding, investing in equipment, catering, meeting amazing people and building new connections — these photos tell the story of KaiVT's growth.📸🌺
To Teuila Maggof and Waikato Business Network, Vinaka Vakalevu for seeing my passion and helping me find doors that I didn't even know were there.
To Nanise Ginnen Owner of Starline, thank you for walking alongside me and helping me understand my business better.
To Pasifika Business Trust, thank you for investing in my development as a business owner.
To Generator, thank you Theresa Owner of Fautasi Shop and Owner of Wealthwise for helping me invest in the equipment that is allowing my business to grow and become stronger in helping me with the applying of this Funding .Wellthwise Pasifika Ltd
And to every customer, family member, friend, follower and person who has ordered my food, shared my posts, recommended KaiVT or encouraged me — THANK YOU.❤️ Without customers supporting my food and believing in what I do, there would be no KaiVT journey to share.
Most importantly, Thank you Lord for every person You have placed in my path, every opportunity, every lesson and every door You have opened.🙏🏽
When I started, I didn't know how far this journey would take me. Today, looking through these photos reminds me:
I am still learning.
I am still growing.
I am still working hard.
I am still dreaming bigger.
And this is only the beginning.❤️🌺
I am excited to see where God will take KaiVT Authentic Fijian Cuisine next.
Never underestimate a small beginning. One opportunity, one person believing in you, one open door and the courage to keep going can change the direction of your journey.
All glory belongs to God. 🙏🏽❤️
