A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of catering the Water New Zealand Conference & Expo at Claudelands Event Centre.

Water NZ has been coming to Claudelands for many years, and it’s always a pleasure to welcome them back. This year around 1,600 delegates and exhibitors came together over four days, with a pre-conference workshop, a President’s Dinner, a Welcome Function in the Halls and a Gala Dinner for 950 guests in the Arena.

Across the conference days, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea were served in the Halls, with barista coffee open throughout. Then came the highlight of the event, Wednesday’s Gala Dinner, where guests were welcomed with dry ice cocktails before sitting down to a three course plated dinner. Locally inspired menus and sustainability were front of mind throughout, and it was a pleasure to look after everyone across the week.

A big thank you to Water NZ, Avenues Event Management, Event Impressions and the wider H3 Group NZ team for making this years event another resounding success.

We’re honored to once again sponsor the Community Contribution Award at the 2026 Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

It’s an award we’ve supported for many years, recognising the people and businesses making a meaningful contribution to their communities across the Waikato.

A big congratulations to this year’s finalists: HMC, Restore Native and The Village Co

It’s also pretty special to see Montana Group named as a finalist for the Service Excellence award. A great result for the wider team 👏

A look back at a great day out with H3 Group and some of the best from Waikato’s event community.

As part of the H3 Naturally Connected Famil, guests experienced a progressive food and beverage journey across three Hamilton venues.

We started out at the Stadium with canapés on the field, moved to Claudelands for bowl food, then finished the afternoon at Hamilton Gardens with dessert and cocktails. Our Executive Chef, Tyler, also shared a little more about our menu and the importance of working with local suppliers.

It was a great opportunity to showcase the variety of food and beverage experiences that can be created across Hamilton, while spending time with the people who bring the region’s events industry to life.

We had the privilege of catering the at Sir Don Rowlands Event Centre last week, serving a three-course plated dinner to a room full of guests supporting a wonderful cause.

And the feedback afterwards made it even better:
"It was a great night and really well received by all our guests! We also just wanted to also acknowledge your FOH Manager during the event; he was incredibly organised, great at communicating and a really lovely person to have alongside us. Thanks again, we had so many positive comments about the food."

Last week we once again had the pleasure of catering the Waikato Waahine Collective Symposium at Claudelands Event Centre Meet at Claudelands.

Over 300 wāhine from across the Waikato came together for an afternoon of learning from inspiring keynote speakers and networking, all in support of women in business across the region.

Our team provided catering from a VIP lunch in the Arena Lounge through to walk and fork lunch, afternoon tea, and canapes to close out the day, keeping service flowing and well fed while the real magic happened on stage.

A big thank you to the H3 Group Meet at Claudelands team and event partners Waikato Waahine Collective Waikato Chamber of Commerce for making the day such a success 👏

Once again, Montana Food and Events had the pleasure of catering the Master Builders House of the Year celebrations that took place in both Rotorua and Hamilton last month.

Two incredible venues, two nights celebrating the best in the building industry, and the same MFE standard behind every plate. Canapés of smoked kahawai fish cake and spiced lamb or wagyu beef short rib, followed by a full evening of courses, wines and bar service rounding out the night.

Grateful to be able to support this event across both regions, and it's always amazing to work alongside such incredible event partners.
