🐓 ENTRIES NOW OPEN - 124th Annual Show 🐓

The Waikato Poultry and Pigeon Club is proud to announce that entries are now open for our 124th Annual Show.

Join us at the Waikato Indoor Tennis Centre (Perry Arena), Hamilton over Matariki Weekend – 11th & 12th July 2026 for a fantastic weekend of quality birds, friendly competition, and great company.

Now is the time to start preparing your birds and planning your entries.

Entries close Saturday 27 June 2026 – no late entries will be accepted. Please note: Entries must be sent via email or post only. Entries will not be accepted via Facebook.

Sale birds will be available from 12:00pm on Saturday.

It is with great sadness that the club notes the passing of one of our Life Members and long time fanciers- Dave Watson.

Dave's love of poultry extended over 8 decades and he was widely recognized as a master breeder and exhibitor of soft feather poultry particularly Wyandotte's and leghorns.

He was an active member of several clubs including being a founding member of the South Auckland Pigeon & Bantam Club as well as a life member of our club.

His dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm along with his ability to breed and show exceptional birds forms part of the memories of many of our current fanciers and for that we owe a debit of gratitude.

A private service for Dave has already taken place.

RIP Dave and thanks for the Memories.

It is with great sadness that the club notes the passing of one of our colorful local fanciers - Graham Dally. Graham was a longtime fancier and judge of Old English Game who never lost his genuine enthusiasm for his birds and was happy to share it with other fanciers new and old. Grahams funeral will be on Saturday 6th of September at 11am at the Netherton Hall, School Road, Netherton Paeroa. Correspondence to: The Dally Family, 55 Awaiti Road, RD2 Paeroa 3672

Bring on the birds!!! Over 1,000 cages are now set up and ready! Thank you to all that showed up to help today - we couldn't have done it without you! We are all looking forward to a great show. See you this weekend!

🐓🦆The Waikato Poultry and Pigeon club's annual show is getting closer! 🦆🐓

Our club members have been working hard behind the scenes to make this a really enjoyable, memorable show.
