Bongo Sushi

Bongo Sushi B(Bongo) sushi at Bongo cafe, since 1999. First let us introduce ourselves. We want every customer to enjoy and love every single bite of our sushi.

The Bongo Story

The original idea of Bongo sushi started in a small space at Waikato University by Sangha Park and his wife in 1999. Bongo's mission for the past 17 years remained simple: bringing a high-quality and healthy sushi experience to the community. Our goal was to provide healthy and creative sushi accessible to the Waikato University community.

Dear valued Bongo sushi customers

Thank you so much for your continual support and hope everyone is doing well 😊

*** Christmas is approaching and our sushi bar will be open till the 17th of December and will re-open on the 5th of January ***

As of Dec 3rd, due to the new traffic light system🚥 our store has decided to check all customers vaccination passes when entering the store and will be following the covid protective framework.

This was a very hard decision to make as we want to cater to ALL our valued customers and provide the best sushi bar experience. However, to ensure safety for our staff and customers we have decided to implement these new changes.

Our contactless pick up is still available, where orders can be made through our ‘bongo sushi app’, which is available on Android and Apple app stores. We are also in the process of working with Uber eats so our sushi is available for delivery, and will let you know once it is up and running 😊

Again, thank you for your support, understanding and patience during these times❤️

Our bongo sushi family are looking forward to seeing you at our store✨
