Thank you to all those who joined us for this years AGM.
Your Committee for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 financial years was confirmed as:

Hi everyone

A reminder that we will be CLOSED this Friday 10th July for Matariki.
OPEN again on Saturday 11th at 4pm.

Also, a reminder that it is our AGM this Sunday, 12th July at 1.30pm here at the Club.
Open to financial members only. Please present your card at the door to gain entry.
Club will open at 1pm

We have one remit to be voted on:
That subs for the 2027/28 year be increased to $60 per member and new members application fees be increased to $30 per person

No Committee vote required.

On completion of the AGM, we will then hold a Special Meeting to discuss and approve expenditure required for the retaining wall repair.
There will be no discussion on the wall in the AGM and this will be the only item on the agenda of the Special Meeting.
Please be aware we will advise you of as much information as we can, but we are bound by commercial confidentiality at this time.

The bar will open following the Special meeting.

A brisk wakeup this morning!

Here’s your news for this week:

AGM:
A reminder that it is our AGM on Sunday 12th July commencing at 1.30pm.
This meeting is open to current financial members of Morrinsville RSA only and you will be required to show your membership card at the door to gain entry.
There is no voting for Committee however we do have one remit that will be voted on. The remit is as follows:

RSA NATIONAL INDOOR BOWLS COMPETITION:
Congratulations to Ashley and Noeleen Duncan, Bruce Isbister and Ross Cranfield who came 3rd equal at the National RSA Indoor Bowls competition held recently in Te Aroha

RSA HORSES:
Hooray for Harry is racing at Ashburton tomorrow, Race 5 at 2.02pm.

Exciting news! There is an opportunity coming up for more members to be a part of a racing syndicate.
The horse is located at Ballymore Stables in Matamata.

We have received one remit for the AGM on the 12th July. It is as follows:

Moved: D. Fryer/Seconded R. Harrison that the membership fees for 2027/28 be increased to $60 per member. New memberships to be increased to $30 per person.
(Was $50 per member and $25 per person respectively)

This remit will be voted on at the AGM.

Hi everyone

A busy time for our Kitchen staff with some big corporate days in the Club this last week or so. Good crowd in for Che Orton on Saturday night.
Don’t forget we have a couple of great shows coming up. See the details below. Please get your tickets early so we can ensure that these shows go ahead.

AGM & SPECIAL MEETING:
A reminder that our AGM is scheduled for Sunday 12th July at 1.30pm.
This meeting is open to financial members only and you will be required to show your membership card to gain entry.
We encourage all members to come along.
There is no vote required for any positions on Committee. The Committee will be confirmed at the AGM.

Next Thursday 2nd July, after the Ode, we will introduce the in-coming Committee to members.
Could we ask all nominees to be here at this time.

SPECIAL MEETING:

A busy time in the Club with catering for a number of large functions, including Vintage Car Club members (100+) and Fonterra.

Remember – if you have a function coming up this year, don’t hesitate to get in touch and secure your date as we are filling up fast with a number of private functions.

AGM:
Final nominations for all Committee positions are being accepted this week, closing at 7pm this Friday 12th June 2026.
Nomination forms are on the board in the clubrooms.
All nominees, proposers and seconders must be financial members of this Club.
If a vote is required, this will be held from Wednesday 17th June until Saturday 4th July at 6pm. More details to follow if this is required.
AGM is scheduled for Sunday 12th July at 1.30pm.
