Hi everyone
This week’s update:
DONATIONS:
Thank you so much to our wonderful members who have so far made donations to assist the Club.
These donations are to go towards the $100,000 cash payment that the Club will be paying towards the repair of the Clubs retaining wall.
All donations over $5 are eligible for a Tax refund so if you would like a receipt please get in touch.
If you would like to donate you can either pay online to the following or we will accept cash/eft-pos through the bar. Just let the bar staff know what it is for. Contact the Club for bank details.
All donations are confidential.
Sponsorship:
We are looking for people to assist with a sponsorship drive for the RSA.
If you are interested, please contact the office. We would certainly appreciate the assistance.

We are excited to announce another great show coming to the Club
Friday 16th November we have the Neil Diamond Tribute show heading our way.

95th ANNIVERSARY CLUB SHIRTS:
A design has been settled on and we are now taking orders for 95th Anniversary Club shirts.
If you are interested in purchasing, we have sizing shirts here for the next few weeks to try on to ensure you get the correct fit. (They do rate on the small size so be prepared to size up).
Just check in at the bar and we will sort you out.
BLOKES WOF NIGHT:
An important evening for the guys! (Partners welcome too!)

COLLEEN BROWN AUTHOR:
Colleen Brown famed NZ author who has written a number of children’s books about events in the war, is now looking to write another book, this time about ballot farms in our area, specifically those allocated post the war.
She is looking for people/family members who were involved in this or know the history maybe around their own families story, to gain an insight into the whole process.

NEW WORLD STICKERS:
If anyone is not wanting their New World knife stickers, we would love to have them!!
Just drop any unwanted stickers off to the Club next time you’re in.

This competition is proving very interesting and competitive!!
We go for the closest race meeting to us and this week’s race meeting is ‘Ellerslie’ (Auckland)
Check the board in our sports bar area for your ‘letter’ for this week and current standings.
MEMBERS DRAW:
No luck for K. Ferguson who missed out on $800.
Thursday night we are at $900
HARDLUCK DRAW:
Congratulations to T. Jamieson who took home the Hardluck Draw last week, just under $250.
Thursday nights $1 a ticket.

JOKER DRAW:
No luck last Saturday night with the Joker still hiding!
Saturday nights, dependent on numbers.

OUTDOOR BOWLS:
It’s nearly time again for our Outdoor Bowling Club to return to play following their winter hiatus.
Play starts again on Wednesday 2nd September.
Twilight bowls commences on 27th October

A reminder that to be a member of any of our sub-clubs, you must first be a member of the RSA.
PARKING:
We are getting closer to the wall repair. Yay!
This is early notice that there is going to be a lot of disruption to our parking over the next few months.
More details will be advised closer to the time, however please be aware that there is going to be limited parking around the Club which will affect Club members and bowlers.
Please start getting prepared to park on Lorne Street and walk through.
We also encourage club members to use the Courtesy Van.
