Serious question… how long should it actually take to get one road properly open? 👀 it’s been one month…

Because at this point Nick’s been on the radio, on the news and is about one inconvenience away from grabbing this shovel and heading up there himself 😂

But let’s talk about the REAL victim here…

Dude the dog is missing out on an unacceptable number of pats from people who should be driving through Haast right now. 🐶

We keep hearing about the work being done, but Haast and other West Coast businesses are the ones living with the consequences while we wait.

So what do you think.. is this taking a reasonable amount of time?

Turns out if you mess Haast around long enough Nick Kummer ends up on the news 😂🦌

He’s had enough, we’ve had enough, Haast has had enough. The slips on the news aren’t even from this slip!!

We’ve been patient. We’ve dealt with the convoys, the uncertainty and the cancellations, while local businesses and our community keep wearing the cost.

Things clearly weren’t moving fast enough, so we’ve brought in reinforcements. 🚧🐕

No experience.
Easily distracted by pats.
But more enthusiastic than Fulton hogan…👀

At this rate, the road will be fixed in no time. 😂

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN AT THE HARD ANTLER — SATURDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 👻🎃

The road might’ve cut Haast off, but it definitely hasn’t shut us down. 💪❤️

After the absolute chaos of the last few months, we reckon Haast deserves one seriously good night!

So we’re throwing a Halloween Party + Whitebait Season Send-Off and we want the Antler PACKED. 🎃🍻

Well… apparently we’ve reached the Braveheart stage of the road closure 😂

They may close our roads, but they won’t close our businesses.

Haast is still here. We’re still open. And we’re not going anywhere.

Well… we made the news.

This road closure has gone way past being just an inconvenience now. It’s costing local businesses thousands and having a massive impact on Haast and everyone trying to live and work here.

Nick a few other business owners here spoke to RNZ about what this ongoing closure is actually doing to the Hard Antler and the rest of our little community.

We just want our road open and Haast moving again. We can’t keep carrying on like this. Someone needs to hold Fulton hogan accountable.
