🏉 THE TIPPERS: PRIZE GIVING

End of year function for the tippers this grand final night at the Rec, with prize giving at 8.30pm. Every tipper's welcome, whether you finished top or bottom.

Malcom has it won. 143 with one game left and nobody able to reach him. Take a bow, Malky. Wong's second is locked in too on 141.

Third is where it gets messy. Neopanthet and LJ1998 are level on 139, with Kayla and Jamie one back on 138 and still an outside shot if the right result lands. Four of you, one spot, one game. Countback decides it if they finish level, so every margin matters.

Upper, Mid and Lower prizes all get handed out on the night as well.

And we want this thing bigger next year. 38 of you had a crack in 2026, so if you've been watching from the sidelines all season thinking you could do better, 2027 is your chance. Have a word with us at the bar and we'll get you on the list.

🏉 TIPPING LADDER, after Finals Week 2

Three games left and the top is down to two. Malcom leads on 142, Wong is one back on 141. Malky needs just two points from the last three to make it untouchable. Wong has to finish two clear of him, because a dead heat goes Malky's way on countback.

LJ1998 on 139 is alive on paper and that's about it. Everyone else is now playing for placings, and that's where it gets interesting.

There's money on the Upper, the Mid and the Lower. With 38 of you in the comp, every one of those marks is currently sitting between two people:

Upper: Cassie and Ethank514
Mid: J shaw and Kyle
Lower: Daryl and Griff

Six of you within one spot of a payout and not one of you safe. There's two points covering big chunks of that table and one good weekend moves you three or four places, in or out of the money. Plenty of you have drifted toward the middle by accident all season. Time to make it deliberate.

Three games. Get your tips in.

Big weekend at the Rec 🍻

It's NRL Preliminary Finals weekend and a Grand Final spot is on the line. Dolphins v Roosters on Friday night and Panthers v Knights on Sunday, all on the screens in the bar.

In between the footy, Receno is running all weekend with an $850 jackpot. Just grab a drink and you're in.

And on Saturday night, Shimmer & Stone take over the bar for our live music sessions 🎶

Big weekend at the Rec 🍻

It's NRL Preliminary Finals weekend and a Grand Final spot is on the line. Dolphins v Roosters on Friday night and Panthers v Knights on Sunday, all on the screens in the bar.

Malcom holds top spot on 141, Wong is one back on 140, then Neopanthet, Jamie and LJ1998 are jammed together on 137 with Kayla right behind on 136.

Five games left and no bonus points in the finals, so five is the most anyone can add. That means six tippers can still win this thing. Neo and Kayla have the countback in their favour if it finishes level. Jamie and LJ have to pass Malky outright.

Match of the week is the Warriors again. Last week Al Monk watched them wave away a shot at the line and take the two instead, and the man aged another ten years on the spot. Quite the achievement for someone who had none left to give. He wanted that ball over the line and he wanted it quickly.

Top spot is anyone's. Tips in early. 🏆
