A big ngā mihi to our lovely customer Ian, who’s dropped off some chocolates for us to share! 🍫☕️

So here’s the deal…
Say a little reo, score a chocolate! 😂🍫

If we hear some te reo Māori in your greeting, your order or even just having a kōrero while you’re waiting for your kawhe, you’re getting a chocolate!
Could be a simple kia ora, tēnā koe, or a full-blown kōrero, have a crack! 😜

No pressure, no judging… just a bit of reo, a bit of kawhe and a bit of chocolate. ❤️

🌿 Nau mai, kōanga! 🌿

Spring has arrived! 🌱 And here on the Coast, we know spring doesn’t always mean sunshine 😂 — but it does mean longer days, a bit more light, and watching our West Coast landscape come alive again.

For Māori, kōanga is a time of new growth, renewal and preparing for the season ahead. A time to notice what’s changing around us and reconnect with the whenua. 🌿

And as Westcoasters, we’re pretty lucky to see that change happen right in front of us — the ngahere waking up, the rivers fast flowing, the whitebait starting to run 🐟, and those first proper signs that winter is finally letting go.

So here’s to kōanga, fresh starts and hopefully a few more sunny mornings! 🌞

🌦️☕️ WE’RE STILL OPEN! ☕️🌦️

This crazy spring weather isn’t keeping us away! 😂 We’re here this morning keeping the coffees flowing, whatever the weather decides to throw at us.

Just a wee heads up — we’ll be closing at 12pm today for some family commitments. ❤️

Lately I’ve noticed lots more mums with their babies popping into Kawhe Cart 🥰☕️ and it’s made me realise just how handy a little coffee stop we can be for you!
You can literally just duck in, grab your coffee and still keep an eye on the car 👶🚗 — no need to drag baby out, find a park miles away or spend ages getting everyone organised.
And we usually always have a park right there too, so it’s nice and easy for those quick coffee runs when you’ve got a baby on board ❤️
So to all the mums who’ve been popping in lately — I see you! 🥰 And if you haven’t tried us yet, come say hi. We’re baby-friendly and all about making your coffee stop as easy as possible ☕️💕
