We’re closed this Labour Day, giving our restaurant's team a well-earned day to relax and spend time with whānau 🌿

It’ll be our last day closed until Christmas, with Tahu open from 12pm every day.

Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see you back by the beach from Tuesday ☀️

Don’t think we’ve forgotten the favourites!

Refreshing, flavourful and made to start the table off right, with feta dip, pickled cucumber, dill, pickled onion and mint.

A great sharing starter on its own, or the perfect match for one of our heavier large sharing plates. 🌿✨

Light and fresh, but full of flavour, with pesto, rocket, parmesan cream, truffle aioli, toasted hazelnuts and balsamic reduction.

Next up from our new sharing menu — the 1kg Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder!

Slow-cooked for 24 hours, served with mint salsa verde, jus and red onion. It’s made for sharing and can feed a whānau of four!

Tahu Summer hours are here! Now open from 12pm every day, so there’s even more time to enjoy a kai by the beach ☀️

Our new sharing menu is available for both lunch and dinner, whether you’re stopping in for a few plates or gathering the whānau for a summer celebration.

Nau mai ki Tahu! See you from midday, everyday.

Sharing our food in our own way is a fundamental part of getting to know us. So, when we started to create the Tahu vision, it took us on a journey that honoured our tipuna (ancestors), paid homage to Te Tairāwhiti as a region, and started something that can make a difference on an array of levels....

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing some of the new dishes from our sharing menu. Starting with one that’s already getting plenty of love — Fish Crudo!

Fresh local fish, herb crème fraîche, pickled onion and lemon. Light, fresh and made to share.

It’s only been on the menu a few days, but people are already raving about this one. Come and see what the fuss is about.

OUR NEW SHARING MENU HAS LANDED — a shift towards all day plates made to share. More dishes in the middle, more to try, more reason to settle in and make a meal of it.

Our menu is grounded in where we are — between moana and whenua — drawing from the produce, seafood and flavours of Tairāwhiti, with plenty of new dishes alongside a few Tahu favourites.

We've combined our lunch and dinner menus and added fresh flavours, including a couple Gizzy-firsts. This is the biggest change we’ve made to our food offering in a while — and we’re stoked to share it with you.

Come in and enjoy your favourites while trying something new! Nau mai ki Tahu.
