Six years ago we opened our doors at 7 Talbot Street.

Since then this room has held birthdays, first dates, long Friday nights, and a lot of people who almost didn’t stop on their way south.

Some of you have been with us since the first week.

Some of you found us last Saturday.

On Thursday the first of October we’re turning six, and we’d love you at the table. New drinks on the bar. A sharing platter made for the whole table. And with you, the people who got us here.

To say thank you, one table for two is coming to the celebration as our guests, with dinner on us up to $100.

There was one part of India still missing from Royal India menu.

Tej has built it state by state, putting the most authentic dish he could from each one. But the kebabs of Awadh were the gap.

That’s why Parda Seekh is now on as a chef’s special.

To make them, we season mince in house-blended spices, then form a skewer, grill them lightly in the tandoor, wrap them in thin pastry layer, then in the tandoor once more.

The pastry stays crispy while the seekh underneath is juicy.

Come in to try, and let us know if you’d preferred this or the lamb chops.
