Tonight’s cupcakes are for my lovely work mates. I am trying some new cases and had lemon and raspberry buttercream left over. The cupcakes are lemon flavoured.
I think they look rather cheerful and are a reminder spring is coming. 🌼My daffodil bulbs are sprouting and there are some lambs in the paddocks. 🐑🧁

Hi cupcake lovers.

Let’s talk buttercream flavourings. All my American buttercream is a base flavour of vanilla, which is already delicious.

But did you know you can crank up the delicious scale by adding flavourings to your buttercream when you place an order.
I love using Heilala Vanilla and they have some beautiful infused flavours. The berry and butterscotch are especially good.

I also have concentrated flavoured oils that can be added into the buttercream. The maple is really nice.

Fresh As freeze dried fruit powders like strawberry, raspberry, blueberry are so good in buttercream. They sing of summertime.

None of these will add any extra sweetness just flavour.

Next time you want some cupcakes making ask me about flavouring buttercream. If you have something in mind ask me and I’ll do my best to get it for you.

Hope your all keeping warm now winter has well and truely arrived.

Let’s talk sheet cakes, or slab cakes, which ever name floats your boat.
Sheet cakes are now added to the line up available from Maggie Mays Cupcakes.

A 9 by 13 inch sheet cake, a single layer is roughly 1 and a half inches high plus the frosting on top. Great for a crowd.
At this stage only chocolate flavour on offer. It’s a delicious moist and tender cake. Perfect for a celebration. Priced at time of order.
Take a look at these examples. They are so cool and so versatile. One was for an 80th birthday the other was for a 5th birthday.
