If you had asked me before we started the Wolf what kind of Cafe we would like to have, the answer would have been this...we would have liked to create a space where everyone is and feels welcome. Today I can say, we have achieved what we have set out to do. This past week has shown us that. All of you have shown us that.ย All of you have given us back more than we feel we have ever been able to give to all of you. At times this has almost been overwhelming. YOU have shown up in the hundreds, flooded us with kind words, shared many tears, and given us beautiful gifts of cards, flowers, homemade chutney, lovely beverages, but most importantly a lot of hugs and a very strong feeling of community. YOU are our community. And for that we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
I can't say that these last few years have been easy, but they have absolutely been worth it. Part of our success have been all of our employees over the years and we would like to thank every one of you. We were novices when we started and it is thanks to you that we were so successful in the end. A special thank you has to go to Lily.ย She is a gem and will see the Wolf out with us until the bitter end. Thank you for all your hard work, support and dedication.
Thank you also to all of our friends who now have the difficult job of picking us up when we are down. We appreciate everything you are doing. Your support is invaluable to us.
Last but not least, we want to thank our children. Their support has been unwavering at home and at work. We look at you every day in awe of the humans you have become.
So for now, farewell! Always in our hearts,
Christine and Markus
