☕ MEET SERA, OUR NEW BARISTA! 🤎

We’re delighted to have Sera starting today behind the coffee machine at the café! 👩‍🍳☕️

Sera has plenty of café experience under her belt, having worked at Grid Coffee Roasters, Steep Café, Potpourri Vegetarian Café, Fuego Boutique coffee in Brisbane, and The Corner Store Café in Toitu. Sera has worked as a head barista and café manager, so she’s no stranger to a busy café, great coffee, and keeping everything running smoothly! ✨

Lizzie brings a wealth of hospitality experience, having worked at Agnes Café, The Country Café, Verde Café, and more. She also has a real love and passion for baking! 🧁

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is Ammie’s last day at Bean on Water, and we’re feeling a little sad to say goodbye. ❤️

For those who don’t know, Ammie is leaving hospitality and heading off into an exciting new chapter.

For over three years, Ammie has been weaving her magic behind the espresso machine and welcoming our lovely customers with her friendly personality. It still amazes us how she knows your coffee order and can have it underway before you’ve even walked through the door! ☕️

Ammie has been an absolute star and a massive help to us since we started. Her hard work, honesty and straight-up nature have made her such a valued part of the Bean on Water family, and we’re going to miss her.

Thank you, Ammie, for everything you’ve done. We wish you all the very best in your new job and this exciting next chapter. We’ll look forward to seeing you pop in for a coffee (and a catch-up!) often — you’ll always be welcome. 😊

Today marks Immi’s last day with us.

Over the past five years at Bean on Water, Immi has become an invaluable member of our team. From creating countless delicious cabinet treats to welcoming our customers with her genuine warmth and friendly smile, she has made a lasting impact on both our team and our community.

Immi has decided it's time for a new chapter outside of hospitality, and while we'll miss her dearly, we're excited to see where this next adventure takes her.

Thank you Immi, for your hard work and dedication over the years. We wish you every success and happiness for the future—you'll always be part of the Bean on Water family.

Bean on Water Café will be closed this Friday as we take time to celebrate Matariki with our whānau and loved ones.

Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Bean on Water, and we’re thrilled to introduce ourselves as the new owners.

Firstly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Shannon and the incredible Bean on Water team for everything they’ve built over the past five years. We’re honoured to continue the journey and appreciate all the hard work that has made Bean on Water such a special place.

A little about us – Karen will be at the café full time, while Liam will be helping out part time as he continues teaching locally. We’re both looking forward to meeting our customers, getting to know the community, and serving great coffee and food in the friendly atmosphere Bean on Water is known for.

We're also delighted that Immi will be staying on, continuing to create the delicious baked goods that so many of you already know and love. We'd also like to extend a big welcome to Claire, Brayden, and Nick as they join the team!

Thank you for the warm welcome we've already received. We can't wait to meet you all and look forward to seeing you in the café soon!

That’s a wrap! ❤️ After 5 amazing years, it’s time for a new chapter. Bean on Water has officially been sold.

We want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing customers for your support, kindness, and loyalty over the years. You’ve helped make Bean on Water so special.

We will be closed on Monday for handover and the new owners will begin on Tuesday.

A massive thank you to my incredible team, they have kept the cafe going while I have been living in Christchurch ❤️

We wish the new owners all the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter.
